AP doesn't typically react with metals very much, at least not half as much as HMTD. But anyway, I forgot to mention that with the blasting caps I've made, I just use a lining of the really thin plastic sandwich baggies. I haven't really needed to make more than about three blasting caps since I've only made a couple charges of ANFO, and a KClO3/Petrolatum mixture. When I do order some more AN, I plan to use the little capsules that toys come in from the coin machines near supermarket entrances.
