what makes me laugh is how there are animal charities that ask for more than poverty charitys etc that help starving african kids. if somewhere in the world there were animals that were starving by the hundereds, thousands, or even millions, of starving animals, there would be a worldwide outcry, but nowadays, nobody bats an eyelid when people die.
im all for animal rights, as animals have feelings too, but people should also set their prioritys straight
and about the slaughter thing, im not too sure about the jewish way of killing the animal. i do know that muslims can also eat kosher meat because it counts as halal, but the muslim way of killing the animal is completely humane.
the animals head is taken cleanly off in one movement. all its nerves are severed and the animal dies in seconds. also, because the head is taken off, the blood is drained more easily which makes the meat cleaner.
there are also other rules for meat to be halal, eg no other animals can be there when the slaughter is happening etc.
