Truth serum? Sodium Pentothal has had indications of being a 'truth serum' when administered in doses tailored to the subject. One problem with barbiturates such as sodium pentothal is that delusions are inseparable from the truth, even by the subject, therefore, subsequent interrogation sessions to verify are required. Doses of barbiturates should bring the subject to a sedative relaxed state, mere specifically with slurred speech, bad coordination, when they are suggestible. To obtain clinical effects such at this, dosing can take between 2 and 10 hours
But Sodium Pentothal is not particularly easy to procure. In 77 AD, Pliny the Elder wrote "In vino, veritas" or "In wine there is truth". I'd suggest that you procure your subject peacefully, buy them a couple of drinks, and if they don't yield - that's when you bring on the beatings, electrodes and belt sanders.
