I've found Acetone Peroxide to be extremely versatile. And it's so easy to make.
I've also read about acetone peroxide putty. I'm not sure the exact specifications, but apparently it makes it a lot safer to handle, as the granules won't rub together. I believe some sort of putty or pipe glue was used, but I'm sure you could use spackle or something of the sort.
