I'm not some super hardcore punk "stick it to the man"/"cops are pigs type". The only reason I ever shoplift is when I don't feel like paying $20 for condoms. Yes I'm serious. Something interesting to note, however, is that if you're still in high school, you could easily steal boxes of condoms and sell them to some people you know at school. As weird and pointless as it sounds, I'm planning on trying this this school year, as I was bored and sold two boxes at school last year for a total of $25. Sure, its not much, but that was just two small boxes I sold to some idiots. So I think condoms or other small yet expensive things are good for a beginner to steal.

There is a Rite Aid (formerly Eckerd) within walking distance of my house, probably about a five minute walk if I feel lazy and a bit slow. Surprisingly, Rite Aid has plenty of items to nab, and has minimal security. There are only two cameras, one near checkout/door, and one in the middle of the store, right in the center of the middle aisle. Its in a dome, so I don't know where its fixed upon, or if its even real, but I found a wonderful blind spot. I'm pretty sure most of the stores have the same layout, so heres my best attempt to explain. When walking in, I head straight for the back of the middle aisle and grab two or three boxes of condoms, while my girlfriend looks around at the big beverage section (the far left wall of the store when you walk in.) I take the boxes, read the backs for a moment, then casually walk over to the drink aisle. There is a spot in the aisle where the big wall/shelf/aisle thing and a large pole keep your completely covered from the camera. As long as there are no employees walking around the aisles (there never are, they're always old fuckers.) you can easily open the box, dump them in a purse/pocket/wherever, and put the box somewhere on the shelf.

Its very simple, and the condoms I steal cost about $15 a box. You could easily sell a box of them for about $10. As weird as it may sound, it works. You'd be surprised to see that most high school students don't have the balls or money to go buy condoms, or the cleverness to steal them themselves.

Also, its always a good idea to buy a drink, or something relatively small so that it doesn't look suspicious that you just sat in the store for ten minutes and then left without purchasing anything.

For those of you who think this idea is retarded (I have to admit I can't blame you if you do, but I'm fairly new to this.) there are tons of valuables in Rite Aid that can easily be lifted. Obviously you can steal pills and sell them to some local junkies for great money. Even cosmetics can fetch a pretty penny for the beginner thief. This is all especially easy if you have a girlfriend who carries around a purse or anything. Just find a blindspot and slip[ the goods in, and you're good to go.
