One thing to be wary of... If you live in a seismically active area, it can be easier than you think to make little hiccups on paper somewhere in some USGS monitoring station...if they triangulate your shockwave and find a giant hole and some tire tracks....
I know this sounds totally friggen high and paranoid, but way up by Fairbanks they have experimental sensors and shit that can pick up a car driving from a mile or two away.. and my uncle set off a field of charges for shot rock one time way the hell back and triggered the seismograph in kenai...many,many (hundred or four) miles away.. Got bitched out... Good times. |
