I have tried the lye method and I'm having a hard time from keeping the paper from not shrinking once I place it in the lye. Also the security strip becomes messed up. Anyone have any ideas?

I have tried to get 25% cotton to pass pen test and was achieved it after I sprayed ALOT of hairspray on the paper but the paper really didn't feel right
