This is my first real, helpful, post. So here goes. I have a little experience with safes. Firstly, real safecrackers spend A LOT of time researching the safe the plan on cracking. Some are as easy as an arc welder/ diamond tip drill. Some..not so much. Most higher-tech safes now a days have a glass/some other material protectant plate. The plate is put either all around the inside of the safe or where you would drill in through the front. When this plate is broken there are one of two things that could happen. One it ruins everything in the safe. Or two, the safe's drive wheel/tumblers are purposefully broken locking the safe forever. If you really want to get started in safecracking I suggest buying a cheap safe and getting a copy of "Techniques of SAFECRACKING" by Wayne B. Yeager. It's short and sweet, but has loads of knowledge. There are plenty of other books out there, and I'm sure they are good as well, but that is the book I started with. Hope this helped.
