"Letting go" would be the best option and it sounds like my wife's advice but then there's also something like PRIDE. If someone steals 10k,20k,30k or 80k from you, I'm sure you're not going to say "ah well, at least the sun is still shining..." :-) It doesn't matter whether you've got nothing left or a few million left.
I'll take your advice though to search for another lawyer. I've tried a few, but VERBAL agreements are difficult to prove. I can only prove it with transfers on bank- and broker accounts.
