If he/she doesn't make any sort of movement such as deactivating a sensor, its safe to assume that there are no sensors. I will then go to a diff store and snatch the headphones, go back to the original store and return the legit product.

However, if the associate makes a gesture, likes he/she is deactivating a sensor, I'll just return the headphones with some fake ass made up story.

You make it much more complicated then it needs to be. I wrote about it a few pst up, jus do that
