In my Opinion, shoplifting from a convenience store (that's what you mean by cvs, right?) is a lot more riskier than going to a supermarket, a walmart or a large chain store. I wouldn't recommend it, what are you trying to get from a convenience store? You can probably get all the stuff that the convenience store at a large chain store.
If you do need to steal things from a convenience store, I would recommend you go in when there is another person at the store, so the owner is occupied and during that time, pocket what you need.
