There is no sure fire way to knock someone out. Sometimes you can deliver a massive hit and they won't go down, other times a not very power blow can put them down. I have had a cricket bat taken to my head and not been knocked out (but I was throwing up for an hour), but one time me and a mate were mucking around and he knocked me out with a light hit to the head.

However a strong open hand clap to both ears at the same time will render someone unable to fight and will ground them as it will burst their ear drums. If you follow this through with a head stamp to the temple they should be knocked out
