You can get a license/permit for DISPLAY FIREWORKS only, then you are legal to store and manufacture shells, m-80's, rockets (small size) and fountains. There are limits as to how much "raw" materials you can keep in storage. And yes, the facility where you work/store your fireworks cannot be in a residential area (DUH!!) If you are really interested in making your own fireworks (legally) then you should check the western pyrotechnics association or fireworksland.com. The owner of fireworksland is a good friend of mine, his name is Bob and he is really knowledgeable about fireworks and laws surrounding them. Just don't ask him to "buy" any fireworks...he DOES NOT sell them... |
