Smoking Alone?

I always thought smoking weed alone was a bit sad. I always liked it as a communal thing with friends, but lately I've been smoking a lot more than normal and I occasionally smoke it by myself.
I've just been for a spliff, and I'm pretty stoned right now.

What do you guys think? Is it ok to have the odd joint to yourself? or should you always share?

i dont know... i occasionally smoke alone..i do enjoy it..it lets you see being stoned from a different point of view to me...you appreciate sounds etc more, then again i also like smokin with people...theyre both good..

but about the smoking more often thing...weed is good =) just dont become a junkie

Well, I know you can't get physically addicted to weed, only mentally - so the way I see it, I can go without it.

I see what you mean about the smoking alone thing. I think as long as its not a recuring thing, its ok.

I often smoke weed by myself. But I see it as self-medicating.
It helps me sleep, or helps me appreciate a movie or relax after work.
It's also great while kicking off other drugs. I see it more as a sort of medication then drugs really. Besides addiction with marihuana is very controlable. It's more to be compared with a cigarette addiction the nany harddrugs. Also I noticed that smoking weed too long with little or no sleep majkes me a little psychotic, but that's just bercause I'm weak. Still use it wise, but rejoice at the sweet ambrace of mary-jane. For there aren't many things as good to you as weed in this world. Maybe in contradiction, still, just don't over rate getting high and you'll never get really addicted.

Most of the time I like to smoke with my buddies and sit and chat and relax, but I've being doing more of the things you described lately. Such as smoking before a movie or before I sleep.

Hmm.... I think I'm just starting to appreciate its effects more.

We all eventually find other appropirate times to smoke, and I used to think as you did in your first post, but later on it came to me eactly as it's coming to you now....hmm kinda makes me feel better knowing I'm not alone =þ

here in the uk scoring a henry is about as easy as buying a pack of beer.
for a while, a while back, i was smoking a fair bit. on my own, or wherenever posible basically, and it started to effect me mentally. i felt constantly anxious and lots of deja vu type feelings. you never realise how much an effect draw can have over you until you stop, this mabey because of the duration of time it takes to build up in your system.. but anyway. now i can, and do smoke again, without the nasty affects. my advice: never stop thinking of marijuana as a drug, because that is when it effects you worse. keep respect for it. and it will respect you.

I think its cause I scored some really nice homegrown last week and its probably the best smoke I've ever had. So I've been smoking a lot lately.

Nah, I'll smoke alone only when I have a lot of time on my hands and some excess weed. When I'm lower in weed supply I gotta rely on my friends for splitting bowls 50/50. Depends...it's usually funner to do it with other people though.

Well we have goooood weed around here but i refuse to moke alone i think that's when you become too attached except (it's only happened once) but when seomthing big happens and you just need to chill.

I think smoking alone is ok as long as it isn't regular. I only smoke alone occasionally. Often if I've had a rough day.

eh, I smoke alone sometimes, it's a great way to relax, when I do, I only have a little bit, unless I'm going to watch a movie/play games (fairly rare).

Bud is best shared with friends though, then again, most drugs are really.

I don't give a long stale garlic fart about smoking weed by myself, its all good. It brings people together, but also good when you get stoned by yourself and laugh at what a loser you are.

its good to smoke by yourself sometimes, you can totaly relax and you can explore your high more without looking like a burnout for not joining in in the conversation. but smokeing with others is better you have much more fun

meh, I just enjoy it, smoke alone a bit, before movies, listening to music etc. It's just as good with friends as it is alone in my opinion.

I smoke alone more than in a group, because Im alone more than in a group.

Very occasionally I won't smoke weed at night... like when I'm violently sick, or in prison. I just love laying in bed stoned at night, laughing at family guy as I sink into the awesome veil of comfort surrounding me. Relaxation, can't be knocked.

Also, when Im smoking with friends I will spend maybe £10-£15 on ganja for that session, wheras the same amount would do me a week if Im smoking alone.

Its been a while since I started this thread, and now I smoke prettymuch every day, whether its with friends or not. I've been having a little break due to money problems, but meh... what can you do.

Anyway. I've came to my final conclusion.
I find smoking by myself fine, as long as it doesn't interrupt me from getting on with everyday life. As long as it doesnt stop me from attending college, seeing friends, going out - its cool.

It has a purpose, but a very limited one at best.

I enjoy smoking alone. I'll just mong out and watch DVDs, or smoke a fatty while I do some coursework... Kinda makes me think differently.

A lot of the time whenever I have a really mundane job to do, I'll smoke a J first and it seems to make it a lot less boring...

fuck i smoke alone every single day. usually the MO is this:

morning before school - smoke alone at home or go for a ride with someone on the way to school

lunch @ school - go to someones house or drive around + toke

after school - go drive around w/friends tokin and usually go to someones house after, then i go home and toke alone later (usually @ like 8-9)


and in the summer....its just smoke all the time

Mainly I jsut smoke evenings, but it has been known for me to toke through the day.

+no one will take your weed,so you can smoke it all by yourself
