Therefore know how to get in and out of your home undetected.
Know where to hide your shit.
Know how to use your shit.
Know how to fight, run, hide, and negotiate.
If you do shit you are definatly going to need to know how to do all of this stuff.

Lockpicking, being able to break into a house, having the courage to jump through windows also helps too.

Know you neighborhood. The best way for this is to take walks late at night when nobody is there to see you going through teir yard. Know where you can hide, where you can run through, and most importantly where other people will be.

its not that hard unless its a big thick bay window. one time when i was being chased by three guys i actually jumped into a strangers house to get away. and when they think your a retarded burgler its not pretty. but i still got away from the three guys and there was no conviction.

One of the complaints I had about Totse was that people give advice on subjects they have no experience of. It won't start happening here. I'd lock this but that ability seems to have been lost in the update. I'll see if some proper conversation occurs until it's fixed I suppose...

the 'bad guy through a plate glass window' thing has been tried on myth busters. The dummy got three major arteries slashed and hundreds of minor cuts. And that was with a 3 x 3 window. imagine what a 4 x 6 or bigger would do to you. I know that mythbusters isn't a good source for info. but theres nothing wrong with the test they did for that point.
