This is absolutely correct - remember to keep your water levels up. I would personally recommend just having bottles of water readily available, so that it's really easy to drink, and to make sure you drink a certain amound in a certain period, just to be sure.

That said, I've never been on MDMA. I can only tell you what medical reports suggest in terms of management and recovery.

Very true. If I remember correctly, the blood gets too dilated by water and a person collapses from a lack of oxygen supply to the brain...but I could be wrong. I'm not too familiar with the physiological aspects...

Yeah, that girl you are talking about was "Leanne Betts" (sp?) - anyway, she took X, freaked out and drank too much water. People often mistake water as a cure for X, and they think if they drink lots the effects will wear off. As you guys probably know, this is not true - it is just reccomended to drink a little water to make sure you don't dehydrate. Basically, she drank too much water - thinking it would help - and killed herself.

Then the government used her as an example to se in drug awareness classes and such, although the actual drug did not harm her.

You have a very wide safety birth with water on X. It's something to be aware of, not worry about. It's not like you can accidently cause hyponatremia, it happens if you don't know the dangers and you lash down litres of water. Be aware of how much you're drinking, (and how much others around you are drinking, they might not know the dangers), and you'll be fine.

On another note, how many pills do people usually take in a night? And to what effect? I know quality varies significantly and that's kinda what I'm trying to gauge. 5 would be a lot for me, but I have friends who aren't that much heavier users who'd do 13 easily. Then again quality here would be low. A friend took a trip to Amsterdam recently and was set with 2, and he'd be on the 13 level.

Does anyone prepare nutritionally for ecstasy? I've read a lot about drinking orange juice and taking vitamin C (which is found in orange juice, right?) during the day. If so, when do you take it and what exactly do you take, and how does it effect the experience? Also does it have on impact on the next day (come down)?

Also, same questions but about 5-HTP. When, how much, to what effect? Also 5-HTP was banned here as it was being abused, apparently. Is it still legal in the UK (I know it's legal in the US), and would someone do me the favor of sending some over? As a nutritional supplement, of course.

Depends on how I exerted myself while up, and what the pills were like. Most of the time I have downers to put me out anyway. After a music festival once I slept like a baby without any help, but once after a spur of the moment night when I was caught with no downers I couldn't sleep for the night. Everyone else in the room was asleep, so I'd but my head down and close my eyes. After a while I'd hear people talking, figured the others were awake, sit up to join the conversation only to see everyone still asleep.

I've had a night or two like that. Normally in my house there is always weed around to smoke at the end of night, which is alright. I had that hearing voices thing one time and I quite enjoyed it. Dunno why, but just hearing friendly voices was quite comforting.

A lot of the time when I take X I end up in a girls bed at the end of the night, so its not always bad being like that...

This is seriously almost pointless unless you want a quick head rush and 10-30 minute buzz.

Ecstacy is absorbed into your blood stream and it reaches your blood via mouth or nose, and for the daring some may choose through the anus. Smoking xtc will go into your blood stream but not fast and definately not as much as when taken properly.

I have to side with Random on this. I was discussing it today with some friends in fact. I figure I'll never say never, cause you never know what you'll agree to when your up, and I accept that method might have it's benefits, benefits that outweigh the negatives, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I think my friend summed it up:

If you want a longer lasting ping, the best way is to just swallow it. I think its the best way for people who try it for the first time. However, when you REALLY feel like getting fucked up, another good way is to snort it. This will give you a more intence feeling, however will not last as long as eating it. Its better to snort when you have a few pills to spare, because the comedown comes quicker and you might want more.

SWIM normally sticks to swallowing them, although hasn't tried snorting large amounts of it (which is probably better), only small amounts so didnt feel much of the effect.

I am proud to say that i havent yet taken XTC through the anus .. truthfully i didnt know it would do anything, exept give you a swore arse xD.

I suppose for balance I should mention, don't take ecstasy too early in life. I had plenty of fun through my teens without psychoactives. If I had tried it earlier I'd have fucked all that up. I still think I tried it too early. Late teens, early twenties and you'll appreciate it all the more.

Also, availability is a matter of contacts. There are a lot of drugs I didn't think were available in this country at all, but you meet some new people who know this guy who might have some. Sure we might have followed up a dozen dead ends, but something usually turns up. Plus there's a whole social scene with drugs that's just class.

Went on a session last night. I'll keep it short because no one really reads ecstary experiences.

Me and my cousin were walking aimlessly throught the city, trying to decide what to do with our Saturday. In the midst of our conversation we stroll though the "gothic" party if the city.

"Aw headcase, why did you come through here?"
"I wasn't paying attention, it just sort of happened".

So we nod a friendly hello to people we recognice but don't want to talk to. Towards the end of the square we bump into another cousin we have't seen in over a year. Friendly hello's all around. So they ask us can we get them pills. We make a few phone calls, but our usual contact is out of the city. Our only chance is some idiot I went to school with a few years ago, offering "pills dipped in acid", which to any sane person translates as "contaminated with something, with I don't what". After a bit of abuse (his guy ain't your hardcore drug baron) he promises us pills of better quality, Mitsubishi's, which like the car, can be either fantastic or terrible. Screw it, it's either these or bust. So we collect our pills, collect everyone else who's going (we got invited), and back to the bedsit.

The bedsit was one room in the top of a house/apartment block with a communal bathroom, without a shower, but we didn't care. What was a kick in the face was there was no stereo, just a set of portable speakers. I had brought an aux cable but the TV didn't have the sockets. Ugh.

So, present, was me, my cousin, my female cousin and her boyfriend, and two of my female cousins female friends (6 in total). This seemed to be turning out nicely. Three guys, three girls. It adds up. So we dropped our pills and just chilled out waiting to come up. Nice music (through shitty speakers), nice converstion, promisong future. It was around now I realised that one of the other girls had a boyfriend who she wouldn't cheat on (fair enough) and the other was a straight up lesbian. A proper one, hadn't been with a guy in years. That gave us the opportunity to watch her passionately kiss and grope the other two girls in the room (obviously the boyfrieds didn't seem to mind it), but was still a bit of a let down. Ah well, watching lasbian action while demented isn't the worst.

So we all came up. My cousins boyfriend was a bit anti-social. Not mean, but I don't think I spoke to him all night. The girl with the boyfriend was fantastic. She loved giving back massages complete with moisturiser, so I spend most of my time, shirt off, getting the most kick ass back massage ever. She was also the mos chilled out person I've ever met, by a distance. She kept worring (in that ultra-relaxed voice of hers) that I wanted her to stop the back massage. Fuck that. Eventually, it all became too much I had to sit down for a while so we relaxed together on the couch (she had a boyfriend and I wasn't going to fuck that up, even though she was by far the best looking girl on the room).

While the two of us were relaxing on the couch, the lesbian came over, straddled the massage girl and started kissing her pretty damn passionately, while massage girl groped her breasts, and there was me, out of my head sitting right next to them, watching. Fuuuuuuck me.

I had already asked if anyone had a problem with me watching this lesbian action and there was none. So I was happy out, especially while I was watching lecbian girl glanced over at me, and said:

"Fuck it, I'm on pills", and stretched over to straddle me. We kissed for a good long while, her very much the aggressively dominant one, until we decided we had to socialise with everyone else fo a while. My female cousin and her boyfriend were happy out in their bed, so my male cousin sat on the couch next to me and massage girl on the floor in front of me, with lesbian girl still straddling me, occasionally kissing. This gave me probably the highlight of my night. Lesbian girl, still stradding me, leaned back almost horizontally, so kiss massage girl, wth me a clear view up her top. FuuuUUUuuuuck Me.

The rest of the night kind of fizzled out. Me and massage girl went down the communal toilet (empty and this time o night) to cool off a little because the room was roasting, just for a nice chat. I managed to take a piss *applause", obviously not with her in the room.

Eventaully a friend with a better apartment called me to see how we were doing. I mentioned the lack of a shower so he invited me back to his. I was sorry to leave massage girl and lesbian girl but fuck them, I had a shower! The buzz was left to amphetamine at this stage so I dropped a downer (colazepam) to chill me the fuck out. The walk from the bedsit to my friends apartment just after all the clubs had closed was...... interesting. Every now and then my mind would spaz out and I'd be on the other side of the road without remembering crossing it, but by some miracle I found my way to my friends apartment. There, I dropped two more colazepam (and one more at some point I can't remember), and fell fast asleep. When I awoke, my friend had gone to work so I had a nice clean shower and left. I briefly met my two cousins and the boyfriend at the park to chill out for a little while, but headed home when it got too cold, only to go back to sleep and wake up right about now (which means in is Monday after all! And there I was thinking is was Sunday).



Anyway, to some up, I'm the kind of guy who can turn a gay girl straight (or atleast temporaroly bisexual, which is just was good).

It was a girl I knows birthday party last night, so I dropped a few. They were clovers. I'm never sure what to think of clovers, because one batch I had was pretty dodgy, but these ones were alright.

Not much interesting happened...

However, I had a few people round my place on saturday for a bit of a session, and that was amazing.
A few hours into the "sesh" there were 4 naked people in my bath (its a big bath) with the jets switched on and bubbles everywhere. I left them to it, but every time someone came to the door, one of them would run and answer the door naked... Funny.
At one point we all went on a walk round the area of the house, and that was sweet. I always get brought up pretty strongly by any physical activity, so I felt great by the time I got back.
I had so many people on my bed at one point that it collapsed, and now I wake up every morning with a pain in my back like no other.

I'm pretty fuzzy on any details, because I'd had a lot of beans that night and I smoked a lot of pot at the end of the night, which has a similar effect to the one you (headcase) described when talking about taking downers at the end of a night. So I was pretty bewildered by the time I went to bed at 7:30am.

I went to visit everyone at the besdit again yesterday. It was the same crowd, but I wasn't buzzing (twice in three days? Fuck that) and massage girl wasn't either because she had to leave soon after. Lesbian girl made it pretty clear that the hook up was a one time thing too. My male cousin then had to leave, so it was me on the couch, my female cousin and her boyfriend in bed, and lesbian girl kinda joining in there...... and that's my que to exit.

I have a choice next week (end of the easter holidays) to go buzzing with the lads, or try my luck with lesbian girl/massage girl again (not so certain how happy massage girl is with her boyfriend). It's a tough life.

I spent a number of years in my late teens doing considerable amounts of meth so I was one of the few people that was very disappointed the first time I tried X. Personally I didn't like the drug at all. I liked the energy, and cognitive boosting effects of meth and general sense of well being as it were. With X I just felt all... mushy for lack of a better term. I was constantly shifting between hot and cold, sweating and dry... thirsty and fucking parched. It was just too much of a roller coaster for me, but I suppose that is because I got so used to the endurance and stability from good meth, or perhaps some bad X. Either way, I never tried it again after that, it had too high a price for me. That is the same reason I am not a big fan of cocaine. I like the burst of coke, but I hate feeling like I need to recharge every hour. I like doing a couple fat rails and then sailing for at least 7 or more hours. Of course towards the end of that little episode, I was doing about 2 to 3 times as much meth just to maintain and that is when I decided it was time to quit.

So... to each his own and all that jazz... but if you like surges of being high and the surges of being kinda bleh, mixed with the worst hangover you have ever experience... then X is probably for you. Your mileage may vary, of course.
