Rep Power: 0 | | I'm moving to Newcastle in a month or two, and I'm thinking after I get settled in, it may be time for a couple of plants. Nothing major, just enough to keep myself going. I'll probs sell enough to make up for the money I spent on growing them, and then keep the rest for myself.

Rep Power: 0 | | Heh, in this town, there are at least 300 plants growing at peoples houses and/or in fields... Oh boy, this fall will be interesting...
The funny part is, they're all known great strains of bud, and they're all being grown in a decent mannor, so basically, come harvest... there will be massive ammounts of nice quality green...
Just saying...

Rep Power: 0 | | I grow pot im a small woods behind my house, i have 4 plants that are growing well and about 2 or 3 others,
i've found that "miricle grow" works preaty well on pot, but i've heard that it will eventualy kill the pot plants, dose anyone know if this is true, and should i stop giving "miricle grow" to the plants?

Rep Power: 0 | | Well, its been pretty warm and sunny lately. Providing it isn't too windy or it doesn't suddenly piss down with rain - it should be warm enough for them around now. Maybe in a month or something if you want to play safe.

Rep Power: 0 | | Plus, the fact that they need sunlight - rather than shade - means they'll be hard to hide. Its not easy hiing things in the middle of wide open spaces :P.

Rep Power: 0 | | The shed has one window, and i was thinking about cutting part of the roof out so the sun came directly above it, and just cover the one window on the side so no one can see in.
sorry im new to growing myself, but besides watering daily, do i use any type of plant food? im growing right now in a pot with rich soil in a zip lock back with water in it and a rock in the center, so when it evaporates the water goes in the center, kinda of good self watering system, any other things i should do? |

Rep Power: 0 | | Do you know what strain your plant is or was it bag seed, because when it starts to flower, smell could become a problem. Also is you shed in view from anyone elses property.
The best lights for a small grow is 20W (highest i've seen in shops) compact flourescents, because they're cheap, readily avalible and have the right light spectrum. Use cool white for veg and warm white for flowering. Or if you're willing to put a little money into your grow you could try the 125W compact flourescents from www.potseeds.co.uk/growing/index.htm
They work just like regular bulbs, so no messing with ballasts or anything else.
During veg you can't really have to much light time wise. I've had light on 24/7 during veg with no problems. It's during flowering that light must be controlled, 12/12 with no light leaks during the dark cycle.

Rep Power: 0 | | right now i have a seed in some very rich soil in a cup, and i took a large ziplock freezer bag and put some water in it, and put the cup in that and ziped the bag up, then put a rock in the center of the cup so when the water evaporates it gets cought on the bag and drips from below the rock. is this the correct way to do so? it is outside, it seems like it gets alot more sun outside then inside. i plan on leaveing it outside untill i get about 3inches high, then bringing it inside. |

Rep Power: 0 | | best way imo is to place seeds on a soaked paper towel. till they germ then place them under the soil but not deep. then they'll grow upwards shell first ( the white trailing thing should face bottom of the pot .

Rep Power: 0 | | towards the ground, because when it starts to grow the actual plant is encased in he shell still which drops off when its started to open its first leaves.
the tail is the start of the roots.
