bong, what happened?

earlier today, me and some friends were smoking out of a small bong. it was plastic, had water and ice and that's it.
we were using salvia (idk apparently a ground up kinda weed) and nobody was getting shit. at the end, my other friend brought a bowl and we just put the salvia in that and got high. but i wanna know what went wrong with the bowl. any ideas?

Salvia isn't weed at all its completely different. Salvia is a hallucinogen that can be very intense. I have tried salvia and if you are using plain leafs its very hard to get high. Its just not very concentrated and you have to torch the leaves for a while. I suggest salvia extract its a lot more potent and you will actually get the effect you are looking for. If you are just looking to get high I suggest getting actual weed.

We need more than just that, like a picture. Were you inhaling smoke and not getting high or were you not inhaling any smoke just air.

When I smoke salvia I use as little water as possible in my bong and no ice. Like said earlier.. You can use a lighter but a torch is best. Don't move away the torch until the hit is done. Hold in as long as possible about 20 seconds for me. I usually feel it very soon after exhaling. Usually some good shit takes about a hit sometimes 2. There is not a tolerance build up like weed either. Always have a sober sitter. A good one at that. It's no joke. It can be a great experience or a horrible one. Sometimes depending on if the sitter is immature or not.

Ps. I find my glass pipe is best when smoking salvia.

ok i get it now thanks guys. we just wont do it ever again. but if we do, no ice, torch lighter, and my friend suggested we put some tin foil with holes in it in the carb so the salvia doesnt fall in but the smoke goes through since the salvia fell in last time.

Salvia can be very tricky to smoke.
Especially when you think it's weed.....

Now why would you be smoking through the carb? I think you should research this subject before you smoke again... And you don't need a bong for Salvia. I've only smoked it once, but one hit held for about 15 seconds got me fucked up... Who told you salvia was weed?

Just about everything he did was wrong.
He should deffinately do research before he ever touches a drug again.

This mind altering substance is very potent. This is not a "fun" drug. This is to open your eyes about things. Watch some videos, do some more reading and with my glass pipe I have no problem with a screen bought at the tobacco shop. Only problem I have is Having it stay in place. It doesn't have resin to hold it in place like weed.

first off, ive been smoking weed for like half a year im not exactly an expert. second, i didn't know a thing about salvia before i (tried to) smoked it. My freinds just had it and we went and smoked it. Third, i usually just smoke weed so i dont really research that much i just do out of bowl and maybe a blunt or joint. As i said before my freind just had it and a bong so i really didnt plan,buy, pay for, or even know about it before that day.

Before you try any drug it is good to research it. If there are any side effects, addiction problems, and a lethal dosage. Kratom is legal but very addicting. It has something to do with the opioid receptors. There is a plan for this drug to be used for heroin addicts to come off heroin. It's like not knowing about crack but smoking it just because someone got it and is free. After you smoke it it most likely will no longer be free seeing you would most likely become addicted. Do your research esp. with new drugs.
