potassium bromide, and its sedating properties.

this simple salt is said to have sedating properties, and i have about 200 grams of it. does anyone know what the dose is for mild to moderate sedation? i have absolutely no pharmacological experience with it, but i have alot for my chemistry needs. any tips?

i have heard the potassium salt is a bit uncomforting for the stomach, so im considering converting it to the sodium salt. any infos would be greatly apprechiated.

Haven't you ever heard of "Bromo-Seltzer"?? It's the "old-school" version of alka seltzer. It is supposed to "settle" your stomach when mixed with water and consumed orally. The old "Bromo-Seltzer" bottles said to put two tablespoons of the "Bromo" in a tall glass of water...as for any "sedating" properties, I don't know about that!!
