keylogger vs trojans

um just wonder wat you prefer using a keylogger or trojans. and witch one wood work better for a computer that takes a pass word to go on and only have about 1 minute to get acess to.

Trojan (software keylogger)
Pros:
Quick to install (if permissions allows it)
Doesn't require reboot
Price: Free
Cons:
May require correct permissions to run
Antivirus may detect it

Hardware keylogger
Pros:
Undetectable except by visual inspection
No permissions required to install it
Cons:
Computer has to be restarted
Price: $30+

ok i got some more info of wat the computers are using they all have novell-delivered with works 2000 profesional and you have to log on by your year of graduation or teacher or thec suport. and if i downloaded a trojan will it still be on for the other people? cause most of the setting go away after you log off. thanx again for your help
