there are so many differnt free hosts, which is the best one to use?

and also i need to purchase a web site domain name, where is the best place to get one for the cheapest ? even for hosting a domain ?

That depends on what your expectations are. What do you need to be able to do? What do you need to access? What problems are you willing to put up with?

Without any details, it's a little hard to recommend a "best" host...

Again, that depends on you. What domain are you trying to get? For example, a .com domain will be priced differently to a .com.au domain, or to a .co.uk domain, or whatever else.

In addition, if the domain you want is owned by somebody else, you may have to buy it from them at an inflated price in addition to paying for registration.

don't buy a doman, get a free .co.nr domain.

for my website, i use freewebs for hosting and freedomain.co.nr for a free domain, and i've never paid a penny for any of it.
