Some of the older MetroPCS phones will receive text messages for what ever number you program as the MIN (mobile ID number)...Activate the phone with metro (but don't actually make any calls) and then look up the programming codes for that phone, and change the MIN to the number of the person your trying to "TAP"...note: This ONLY works with MetroPCS and it doesn't work with ALL their phones...I actually bought myself a new MetroPCS phone a couple months ago, and when they provisioned it to my account, my old phone wouldn't make calls anymore, but it kept receiving my text messages for almost two months...

Tapping a cellphone is far from cheap (depends on your conditions) or easy.

The easiest and the most simple way that I know of is having actual access to the cell phone to somehow record everything that is said on the phone. The main problem with this concept is that the battery won't be able to take it and range of how far you can be away from the cellphone to receive tapping.

There are plenty of programs that you can buy to install on the phone which is another easy method.

If you have a fat wallet, you can somehow intercept the signals (just guessing) with the right equipment.

Actually, intercepting cell phone signals is next to impossible!! All the newer phones (GSM, EVDO, etc.) are transmitted on 1900 to 2200 Mhz. Since they don't make scanners that go that high, it's pretty much impossible. On top of that, the signals are digitally encrypted, so even if you could pick up the frequencies, you would not be able to decrypt them. It used to be really easy back in the days of CellularOne and GE Mobile, when it was all on 900 Mhz and not encrypted...
