Hacking WEP key using windows

Does anyone know how to hack WEP keys using windows? All the tutorials seem to be for Linux.
A technique using the command prompt or similar would be good, however, if there's some software that cracks the key for me that would be better (just cos i'm lazy) but if thats not possible any help would be great.

There's a reason that all the tuts are for UNIX based systems...

Just download the Backtrack live linux CD, burn it to a CD, and use it.

The last version of Backtrack to fit on a CD was BT3.

there is a program called air crack, its for Linux mainly but they have a windows version. windows, go to Aircrack-ng

find the download for windows.

im not sure how to use it, install it etc on windows so thats about all i can give you.

but you should use ubuntu, its a free operating system.

Yea, but thats old and I was looking for some better stuff also for the windows version you need to develop your own DLLs for use with your wireless card, thats something that I can't do. Thanks though.

If aircrack did it before I thought someone else would have realeased something better for windows by now.

Can I ask that we keep the discussion windows based here?

Aircrack on Windows is painful. Half the suite doesn't work and the other half either require a fair bit of hacking and the may not have all of their features functioning.

Unfortunately is we were to keep this discussion Windows based, it would be a very short discussion. It's easy to download the Backtrack 3 live CD, and if you want to break wireless networks it's well worth it. There's plenty of tutorials out there included the one I posted in this forum yesterday.

You can even pirate yourself a virtualisation app (Parallels, VMWare Fusion, VirtualBox) to run Backtrack from within Windows (it's easy.)
