I really hate going anywhere near peroxides. Is it just me, or is everybody scared when handling a small container full of peroxides? I just think, fuuck, what happens if this shit just detonates in a burst of pure faggotry...

Naw, I'm scared of 'em, too..there is an old saying:" "Peroxides kill Chemists." They can be unpredictable.

H2O2 at a hair supply store...not just buying one at several. He was caught on camera. The FBI tracked him to his residence and found acetone residue in the trash...watch out for more restrictions because of jerks like this.

I bought my 1L 35% h202 off trademe.

I used an oil bath by the way. Which means that the temp of the oil or water is slightly above the inside of the boiling flask.

I don't need dichromate either, I only used that for my chlorate cell.

Thanks for the oil bath elucidation. To save Propane, I'm going to try the kitty-litter-crockpot method--have plenty of Bentonoite Kitty litter. Do I use new , or, Used?

I used some Potassium Dichromate; before that; Sodium Fluoride (Much less restricted.) Neither seemed to make any difference in Chlorate production.
