I was wondering if there were any canadains in this forum who could tell were i could get kno3 in canada.In more detail alberta edmoto, can not use ebays or chem suppliers on the net. thank You

I live in Canada and the only place I've found it was in a pharmacy in the pain relief section or somthin like that. It came in little 100g bottles and they were white. Said "Pottassium Nitrate" right on it.

for some reson i find that very odd because it is also a food preservative but do u rember what it was called

I would suggest that if you have any friends or relatives in the US, have them either buy a 50lb bag or the Stump Remover from Wal*Mart. Then have em' bring it over to ya when they visit or something... that is, unless customs really searches your car when you cross borders... I can't say I've ever been in the situation.

Yes, Potassium Nitrate used to be sold as a preservative for meats at pharmacies. I've never found it in the dozens of pharmacies I've gone to (I live in the USA), but if they still have them in Canada, you're awfully lucky.

ya ive tried the pharmcies but most of them what people use it for i even tried a place were they sell stuff to make your own jerky ect but they didnt even have it
