Default Acetone/propane question

Hey, I did a little research on acetone and found it's otherwise known as propane, and I'm wondering is propane exactly the same as acetone and if not would it be near enough for using it for extracting aluminium powder from spary paint? Also if it is will it need to be in liquid form? (I'm guessing it will) And if so how do I go about getting it to liquid form? Thanks...

PS> I would do more reasearch by myself but my ISP fked up my net which means search engines are un-usable for me.... DEATH TO VIRGIN MEDIA!!!

No it's not the same. Propane is C3H8 and acetone is CH3COCH3, and I don't think that they have the same properties so I would go with the acetone for the separation. You should be able to buy acetone at a walmart/hardware store. And if you can find spray paint with aluminum in it could you tell me where to get it.
