Hello
Im bored and i wanted to make a little explosive to have fun with nothing bad im just curious,
so from what i understand,
Primary charge (ammonium peroxide)
secondary charge (90% AN 10%AP)
and finally Pure Ammonium nitrate soaked in gasoline.
that is right isnt it?
does this have to be in cased to work?

Yep you got your main charge, your booster charge, I am however curious as to what ''ammonium peroxide'' is exactly lol, you meant acetone right? Yeah caseing aint to important when your talking about ANFO, as long as its air tight, large ziplock bags are good, or big empty plastic paint cans, you know the ones with the screw on lids. You said gasoline, I'am English so I'am not entirely sure if you mean petral or deisel, its the second anyways.

no..yes.. yes..and kinda, or depends. Make a small as fuck amount of your primary, (i believe you have some research to do!) play with that for a few days, if you dont blow your fingernails off you are ready to make the 90/10 shit you mentioned. Your reading up on shit/researching time to experimenting time ratio should be like 100 to 1, or your gonna blow your mom's garage door off and maim yourself in the embarrassing-as-fuck process. BE FUCKING CAREFUL!!

I don't mean to sound like a dick, if you know what you're doing awesome, but it seems like alot of people "come here first" and I try to save as many tender pink phalanges as i can with stern safety warnings and colorful worst case scenarios..
As i understand it gasoline (petrol right you limeys?

makes a fine fuel, and is probably more sensitive than diesel, but does not have as much total heat output or contain as much energy. Apparently Xylene makes it more sensitive, probably with the same trade-off, and pure, real turpentine is supposed to be the best sensitizer... makes it smell great too!!

Believe me after reading some other peoples posts i feel like a genius lol,
i ment acetone peroxide i had ammonia on the brain :-P but yeah i took it out of the instant ice cold packs, about 200 grams of it, problem is its covered in oil but i heard that doesn't matter.

Well yeah, it does happen to matter quite a lot to be honest mate, the AN has to be 100% dry before mixing with the fuel to acheive maxium preformance. Also if you intend to use AN for both your booster and main charge your gunna need more than 200 grams, small amounts of ANFO have a very frustrating habbit of splattering all over the place rather than going off properly.

Yeah, you have to use a larger amount of ANFO, and using a secondary at all is going to give you a rather satisfying, but potentially dangerous boom. I hope you live in a rather rural area.

I recommend a 2-stage charge of AP followed by 90:10 AN:AP for a nice, but not too damaging little dee-vice. THEN move up to ANFO if you like. Plastic coffee cans make great containers.

Also, you were talking about AP then said you got it from a cold pack... That's AN. I know what you meant but be clearer because it sounds like YOU don't know what you're talking about.

I dont know wtf happened but i made a fair sized blasting cap, 30 mixture of it 70 mixture ap/an
and put it in a sturdy plastic bottle, all that happened was a small boom and a puff of dust, AN being blown away...

Let me get this straight... no ANFO, right? Just APAN? And it didn't work? What was the setup like? Cap of AP, charge of APAN? Gimme details and I'll tell ya what went wrong.

And I hope you feel as embarrassed as the rest of your cubbie fans right now, seeing how you just got SWEPT right out of the playoffs! But hey, maybe 101 is your lucky number... Am I being a dick?

Off topic, yes, but what the hell. Let's figure out what happened to your AN before I go too far...
