Rep Power: 0 | | I know these are only small charges, but lately I haven't been able to drive out and let off some large ones. YouTube - 40 Gram APAN Also, I recently found a source for AN fertilizer in large quantities at a fertilizer shipping company near my house, I just asked one of the guys if they had AN and he told me they would have a few 100lbs of it bagged up for sale next week. So, sometime soon I hope to get a video of maybe 10-20kg ANFO/ANAL going off very soon XD!

Rep Power: 0 | | Where the fuck are you gonna set of 10-20 kg without people thinking a war broke out?? Thats the only reason that kept me from doing it hahaha. You'll have like WALLS of earth shooting up and a crater the size of a small shed.

But maybe 20kg would be a little much.. Oh well I'm sure I'll come up with something.

Rep Power: 0 | | One thing to be wary of... If you live in a seismically active area, it can be easier than you think to make little hiccups on paper somewhere in some USGS monitoring station...if they triangulate your shockwave and find a giant hole and some tire tracks....
I know this sounds totally friggen high and paranoid, but way up by Fairbanks they have experimental sensors and shit that can pick up a car driving from a mile or two away.. and my uncle set off a field of charges for shot rock one time way the hell back and triggered the seismograph in kenai...many,many (hundred or four) miles away.. Got bitched out... Good times. | | | |

Besides I'm sure little shockwaves like that pop up alot since It will be detonated near a few large mines.

Rep Power: 0 | | Exellent. Sounds well thought out. But 20+ is still a shitload! Better bury it deep.. what kind of earth is afoot there? Dry and shitty? Rocky, or sweet creamy damp topsoil? I gotta admit I have kind of a thing for mud... moist but not soggy, rockless (important!), no giant roots.. Love putting holes in it!!
I think there is an ideal mix of water/dirt ratio that responds best to the hydrostatic impulse of the shockwave, without extra water to absorb the energy.. Hard to nail down or find but you definately recognise the result!! |

Rep Power: 0 | | Hahahaha, I love how you dribble away Apoc, haha. But nice, NG always surprises me how much power it has.. A couple of weeks ago I made a small charge with 80ml of NG, 40 ml acetone, 30 grams of PETN and a big handfull of nitrated cotton, and the explosion was frightfully loud and powerfull. Was a beeeaauutttiful stick of dynamite btw ..

I just got some mannitol in so expect to see some vids of MHN soon as well, I might even get a thread/tutorial on making it too since the synthesis is so simple.

Rep Power: 0 | | I am a very reckless person when it comes to shooting my mouth off, negotiating, etc. (Amazingly, I am still good at the aforementioned. I think it's just my bullshit skills...) However, when it comes to explosives (or anything else dangerous), I exercise extreme caution. I plan things out, don't cut any corners, research anything I'm going to do very carefully, etc. After witnessing firsthand how powerful this ridiculously sensitive explosive is, I have decided to just use TATP for blasting caps. |
