Chances are you didn't cook out all of the water. Try letting it cook for a while longer. Take a spoon dip it in the solution while it's on the stove hot. pull it out. If the droplets start to crystallize, your good. Then what I do is take some of the solution on a cookie sheet and put it in the oven at about 200 degrees F and keep checking on it making sure to take it out and keep mixing it up with a spoon. You will notice the liquid starting to turn to a powder. You keep doing it until it becomes the consistency of like a fine salt and all of the moisture is out. I then let the AN powder for a bit and throw it in a plastic zip bag then a air tight tupper ware container to keep the powder from sucking moisture from the air. Then when you are ready to use pop it out in the direct sunlight then throw it in with your FO or you AP for APAN. Your set to go. Post how it goes.

Throw away the burned shit. You say that you burned it in the oven or in the pot boiling off the water?

On the pot i overburned it but what did i get with overburning AN or what?????????
And second time i cooked it about 30min and the liquid became thick(stiff)then i let it dry and got it hard white cry.,then i put all that in oven for about 20min on 100C and all water is gone then i put it in glass container and in fridge.

Later i tested it and its great.

I even maked a sodium nitrate out of AN.

Ill post a procedure.

I don't know why it would turn brown unless it was coated with something else. Ammonium nitrite melts at about 170 C and then begins to decompose following this equation. NH4NO3 ---> 2 H2O + N2O. You will get small amounts of other oxides of nitrogen as well though.

It turns brown when it is overcooked. Trust me I did it as well. It looks like caramel. My house was filled with smoke. Won't happen again.

To put it simply zvek,
FUCK
OFF
Why am I the only person here who has seen that this idiot has come onto this forum, no real experience in this stuff, and has DEMANDED that his questions be answered in like FIVE different posts. Could've put them into one and called it "noobie questions" and not've looked like a demanding dickhead.

If you took the time to wikipedia ammonium nitrate, you would know it is really hydroscopic. This shit isn't KClO3/O4 and WONT settle out of solution(and very little of it too) unless its been saturated to the max in boiling water.
Why don't you find an archive of ebooks, READ them, and then come back when you don't think you own this forum.

If this forum banned little k3wl shits as quickly as roguesci did then you might start to get some more experienced people on it. I appeal to you headcase; give me some power and I'll take out this trash and contribute as much useful info on my projects as possible to this forum...

I agree with you. But think of it this way. If he actually makes the explosives. It depends how safe he is handling the explosives. One of the key elements. If he isn't safe he simply dies or loses some important body parts. Maybe people have to learn the hard way. Like that kid Phone.

No, it isn't better to make 5 THREADS about stupid noob questions that would take you half a minute to find out by using something we like to call a search engine.
I mean seriously go to wikipedia, type in Ammonium Nitrate, hit the search button and POOF like magic a page that has the solubility of AN in water. With this you can see that you boil water, saturate with AN fert, filter, boil down solution= relatively pure AN! It's that simple! No need to make a thread about it!
Even if you have some questions there are TONS of threads about purifying AN on this very site and many others.

Fuck... Headcase, just ban the bitch.

Ok zvek, why don't you go and buy some ClO3 and some red phosphorus and put your lazy ass to work on that. But you won't even be bothered to google either of those will you? Go on, ask one of the friendly members of bombshock for a hand, they've held it all the way so far...

Why don't you go READ the books of somebody "more expirienced" and fuck off outta this forum.

Case closed, go damage yourself. Retard.
