Is there an easy fix for this?

When you are typing a reply to a post and navigate away from the reply page, even accidentally, when you hit back anything you've typed is gone, for me anyway. Has been quite the pisser for me a few times, lost a long PM the other day and was fairly bent! Maybe its my fault for typing long replies..
Anyway, I figured it was just something you had to deal with, but i noticed that if you type one out, hit "preview reply", it'll pop up and all that but if you navigate away, you can hit back and... holy crap, there it is, everything you've typed so far!!

It doesn't work automatically, only up until the last preview, but is there a way to make the reply box remember all the crap you said? I know nothing about script or whatever.

If I'm going to type something long, I write it up in Word instead - that way you can't lose it.

Other than that, I have no idea; but it gives you another option.

That would probably take me longer to figure out.. was just a thought or something for someone way more computer-oriented than me to tell me why it would or would not be possible.. And its hardly a thing, but would be nice. I'll just preview every paragraph or so to avoid future frustrations..

Some forums log you out if you're inactive long enough - like if you're on the one page typing a long post. I've lost some essays that way too. It even waits until you're finished and hit "send".

It doesn't happen here because I've set it not to log me out. That'll solve one problem anyway.

Yeah it logs me out automatically only every once in a while, pretty rarely so thats no big deal. I just highlight an copy if it would piss me off to type that much again (which isn't that much, i'm a "hunter-pecker" from the neverlearndocene age). Hated typing class in school, we'd always cheat and look where it got me. Damn.
