Point, but a two month ban will ward off a member who did make a significant contribution and promised more towards the site. Wouldn't a single week be more appropriate?

On consideration, I did stipulate that, on the grounds I was overlooking infractions, that I'd only ban for a week. And I only banned Corporal Punishment for a week for a similar offence. Fine, conceeded. Reduced to a week.
Banned angelofdeath for a week for retarded posts in the "Russia Invaded Georgia" thread. I deleted the posts but the gist was recommending sending Hilary Clinton as a peace offering and another comment criticising sending Condoleezza Rice over because she was black.
dannyvdm banned for a week for repeated infractions.

When I gave a warning in the days before I could ban, I usually got a reply along the lines of "go fuck yourself". Now, it's more "sorry sir, won't happen again sir, good job sir". Validation.

Banned joe provacci for his behavior in this thread. Random decided that the initial post reported justified a warning for his insults and racist language. However, when he posted a reply with similar language afterwards it freed my hands. One month (because he had already been warned). |
