Hows this sound. If two people are arguing we elect one fair judge. then we send them to another forum and the two people will tell their sides with limited bitching. The judge will hear them out and the "winner" will get a + rep point and the loser will get a - rep point.

Perhaps you missed the point.

There are already provisions in place to deal with member conflicts.

Ha im just a member but ill keep my eyes out for trouble makers and report em (and maybe if its somethin real bad mess with their comp ;D) Lovin the Forums X amazing!!! Just requestin an upgraded site look its nice but too classic i think once again AMAZING forums! Usually these types of forums only have dicks on them nice to see a friendly community of fellow artists on their own ways. If anyone REALLY bothers you guys get me their ip ill help out

You guys need to make less categories for threads. you can easily merge some subjects together like weapons + explosives, anything related because alone they barely get threads. take out some that are useless and no need to really talk about here and can be talked about in general.

Not forever but having a milliion different categories plus these uncomfortable reading colors makes it difficult for some to keep track of what thread they were just posting in. Just because some of you guys feel no need to change any of that doesn't mean it's perfect for everyone.

Having less categories will mean more action and posting in each, that will bring more people and more people will want to sign up and contribute.

when i first saw these forums i used it to educate myself and only read threads, not post, i'm sure other people agree with me.

i hope people actually read this. i like this forum quite a bit.

I disagree. In fact, I have to split more threads than merge because the discussion gets side-tracked. If we allow discussion over too wide a range of topics in the same thread (any number greater than one, I think) then the thread becomes useless for research and often unreadable (more than one discussion going on in a linear thread? Sounds horrible).

As for merging sub-forums, I don't see why. Both forums are quite busy, explosives aren't weapons (forum rules) and weapons aren't explosives, and to be honest it's enough of a task to troll through them as they are without shuffling them into one. And personally, I think it would make both subjects quieter as the task of navigating the sub-forums for threads you're interesting in or have posted in before becomes difficult.

Any specifics about what can be talked about in General? Because I'd hate to have useful threads lost in the afterthought that is General Discussion (on an unrelated note, I take a lot of satisfaction from the fact that GD is one of the quietest sub-forums; shows the community is focussed).

As for the colours, I like them. Immediately after the update the scheme was black text on white background but a lot of people complained about it (myself included) and I think this is a massive improvement. What did you have in mind?

i understand what you are saying about merging. i guess i'm just treating this forum as if it was a simple subject forum.

And i do like the colors too except for when i'm looking for responses to my posts, so mainly on the home.

i'm just complaining don't mind me.

I have something I'd proposal. I've been thinking about this for awhile now, and think it could do some good here.

(I'll use the Drug's forums as an example, seeing as thats where I reside most of the time.)
OK. So I was thinking we could have a sticky that would be like a General Random Thread, that would be a thread of questions that people had. I think it would cut down on asinine topics that waste everybody's time. Willi-wurm could have posted there, so could have pot&piss, just to name two.

I'd rather any questions that are asked are asked in an existing thread or if there isn't one, in a new thread about that subject.

It'd be better having stuff like that in specific threads because searching through one thread of questions and answers about all different things would be a pain in the ass.

I say, if there's ever an argument brewing somewhere, take both members and put them in a debatre thread that only they can post in. That's a well entertaining idea as well as removing the clutter from actual threads and weeding out the forum a bit.

If an argument starts and people do not want to take it up a notch, they both have to cease and apologise immediately or both face a ban.

That's an idea that in and of itself could solve a lot of problems quickly.
