how can i not be shy and stop caring what people think

im sorta quiet but not to quiet.i talk alot with my friends.but when it comes to girl i get quiet and shy.also in class rooms to.how can i just stop caring what other people think becuase im sick of people saying im quiet.how can i just open up to people and not give a fuck haha
i care to much about what people think of me.i cant get my mind off of it.i want to just not care in continue on with my life
i will appreciate any help

For a woman, I would recommend reading and practicing David DeAngelo material. I have quite a few friends that have read his material and applied it and become successful with women.

For the second part I would say find people who have similar interests as yourself.

To overcome shyness you have to be confidant - which means you need something to be confidant about. Looks, abilities, personality - find something you are good at and work on it.

if you are still in school... join theater!!!!!

it will really help. from taking that class in highschool i see how it really helped alot of shy people and made them way more outgoing by the end of the year.

another way. would just to start doing random acts of kindness towards people. say thank you when someone does them for you. 40% of the time people will be really cool and respond and you can start making small talk. and at least 100% of the time people will notice who you are and you will feel more confident after doing good things for people. actually yah. start volounteering (spelling?) for things in your community. :]

It's not easy.

Shyness and social anxeity are often misunderstood by others, who will assume you are being rude or unsociable. It can genuinely be very uncomfortable for some of us to be in social situations and it is often like some neurological force is 'holding you back' from communicating as affulently as other people seem to. It often comes with insecurity about looks and appearance, a by-product of our increasingly cosmetic society.

I've suffered with exactly the same problem all my life. I'm 23 now and I'm still very quiet. It doesn't always go away. But you will learn to communicate with people you feel comfortable with and you'll be able to fake confidence, which is what most of your more exuberant friends are already doing. Confidence becomes more natural as you grow up and you will learn to be quietly confident. And never underestimate the power of being a good listener- everybody wants to talk about themselves and everybody wants to bend somebody's ear about something. Learn to listen effectively and people won't care that you're quiet.

It's a tough problem man but it does get better. Stick at it.

try to get noticed...like get into trouble and have a funny reason..
people will start talking to you like..woah dude
