BUSTED!!! How did you get caught slippin

I got busted hard today and I wanted to post my story because it's fucked up and it could happen to anyone BUT!! I couldn't find a proper place to post it. So, obviously, I decided to create my own thread.
Post what you got busted doing, mistakes, and what you would have done differently so we can help prevent our partners in crime from getting busted.

Last night I was with my girl and my best friend drinking hella vodka. I pretty much killed most of the bottle after my girl passed out and stayed up watching some movie untill about 5 in the morning. My girl woke me up at 8 or 9ish to leave and I didn't notice at the time that I was still shitty as fuck. Pretty drunk, both of us. Anyways, we're going home and she says she wants to get a bottle to drink and I was drunk so I thought it was a good idea too.
I walk into the store, grab a bottle of stoli vodka and start walking to the checkout counter. As I'm walking, I look to the door and see my car, I look around and see that there is no one around so I just say fuck it and pants the bottle and walk for the door. I get about 20 feet from the door and some mother fucker bear hugs me from behind. We fight, Roll on the ground for a second. Fucker punched me in the head and called me a mother fucker, which I thought was very unpolite of him and not very hospitable haha.
But the funny part is this was about 20 feet from the car and my girlfriend was in her own little world and missed the whole thing. I run away, pass the car, look back and see the old guys still on the ground so I stop and tie my shoe but my girl still has no Idea what's goin on so I run to the shoppin center across the street and call her. Employees had surrounded the car and were yelling for her to open it up so she switches seats and takes off, but only after they get the license plate number.
Here's the fucked up part... The car is in her name and her address on her license is her parents house and she has a suspended license so when the cops show up and everything, there's a video of her driving her car when her license is obviously suspended. She was getting her license back on april 2nd... But on top of that, I had gotten away scott free untill her dad whipped out some papers he had taken out of my car with my full name, address, phone number, AND social security number and gave it to the cops. So, I guess I probably got a warrant.
I live an hour away from her and her parents hate me now, and her roomates said I'm not allowed over there anymore and now her license is going to be suspended for atleast another year for driving on a suspended. I fucked up my perfect record, I fucked her shit up bad, I fucked up our relationship and the relationship I had with her roomates and parents over a 25$ bottle of Vodka....
Don't do shit on a drunkin whim and don't try to steal booze at 9:30 in the morning haha. I have a post in the shoplifting section too that I totally ignored and this is what happened, because I was drunk....

That was dumb alright. How much was the vodka worth? One of the worst things about getting caught is embarrassment. Why run the risk for petty shit? And NEVER EVER put in work while under the influence. Those that do are careless, dangerous and usually cowards that need substances to boost their balls.

Me and a few mates were walking past a super market one day, on a main road. The super market is huge. The loading bay of the shop leads onto a main road. The loading bay is surrounded with huge gates and a huge wall. But because the road is on a hill, the wall starts of small (about 8ft) and then gets bigger (20ft).

It was 3am, we was bored so we climbed the loading bay wall. We looked over and seen a massive metal box, the sort you have at docks and stuff that ships carry. There was also loads of cages with crisps, cerial, dry food etc. We got into the metal container, it wasn't locked and it was full with Stella (beer).

So one mate ran round the front of the supermarket and grabbed 2 trollys and placed them under the wall we had climbed. One sat on the wall and other passed the creates of beer over.

My house was about a 2 minute walk. So we took the creates of alcohol back and stored them in a next door neigbours house. We also grabbed 5 more lads and went back up.

We did this 4 times that night. We went up one final time that night with just me and 2 mates and my brother. We jumped over, started raiding the place again. Next minute the big gate opens and dogs fly in. I run and hide under an elevator, but the dog caught me. Loads of police cars and police vans turned up.

I basically got fucked over. In the police station they asked where the items we had stolen went. They couldn't find them in my house (they were next door, lmao).

The next morning I got interviewed and the police explained how over £7000 worth of stock was missing and they couldn't find any of it. I got let out the next morning. Had to appear in court.

I got a suspended sentance and a £1000 fine (which I havn't paid). Soon as I got home I got started on the lagers and got pissed every day for the next month and a half.

Job well done I'd say.

Funny thing is, a year later I went to work for the same company I robbed.

Hmm, yeah greed will fuck you over if your stealing stuff.
But there was this complete cock in my class in year six, he never did his homework, ALWAYS got away with not doing it(he wasn't disabled or anything, or overly smart) and always played on this gameboy. So, one day while I was in the lockerbay he was putting away his gamebody just after morning tea, and it happened to fall out of his bag.

SO, i quickly kicked a coat over it once everyone had gone and went into the classroom. I then went out to the toilet about 10 minutes later, took the gameboy out from under the coat and hid it in the toilet.

Then it was three o clock, I went into the toilet I hid the gameboy in and put it into my bag. On the way home I talked to my best friend and told him I'd picked up the fucker's gameboy and taken it. Then in the holidays, my friend was in the same daycare as him and got to know the asshole, and then told him I'd stolen his gamebody. I got in the shit for it and didn't get any pocket money for several weeks.

Scary thing is, that if I had that "friend" in front of me, if I had a gun and there were no consequences, I'd shoot him square between the eyes.
Don't tell anyone if you steal or do anything illegal unless they're involved.
And yeah, I do hold grudges.
