Rep Power: 0 | | Would you commit suicide if you had to spend your entire life in prison? I'm the new guy, Not a 17 year old asshole who seems to only post pointless shit and generally piss everyone off.
But I wanted to post this question to get every ones view on the subject, If you had to spend the rest of your life in prison (not the death penalty) but spending the rest of your prison, from now until you die. Would you commit suicide (your chosen method) before you were arrested?
I personally would, I know it sounds like a bitch thing to do, to waste the rest of your life. But prison is just not for some people, I could handle a few years. But life? I would take about 7 Xanax....wait until that awesome high starts kicking in...enjoy it for a few minutes...then put my .45 acp under my jaw and blow my brains out. |

Secondly, you never know what kind of sentence you'll get - most people who get "life in prison" don't serve more than 10.

Bottom line, Would you rather kill yourself or spend your life in prison |

Rep Power: 0 | | Agrement Yeah, I think I'd have to agree with KBCobra on this; I'd sit somewhere that I can see when the fuzz are coming, watching my favorite movie, whacking back food and god knows what else, then out comes the old friend; the .38 Special Revolver...BANG.
Or better yet be ready to pull the trigger, and do it as soon as the peelers come into the room |

Rep Power: 1 | | I've spent quite a few years in prison...even if you get "life", it's better to wait it out!! You never know if they might change a law or discover new evidence in the future! I actually know people that have received "life" sentences and are now FREE due to bad evidence and re-trials!! I won't say if they were actually guilty or not (that's not for me to decide) but they sure aren't serving out the sentence that they got!! So, in short, NEVER GIVE UP!!! |

Rep Power: 1 | | If there's no possibilty of release or parole then I'd at least try escape coupled with destroying the prison I'm in. My family has a history of nasty diseases, so who knows? Maybe they'd finish me off before I'd done enough time.

Rep Power: 1 | | No...if you're smart, they make you do REAL work in prison!! I was designing landscaping and sprinkler layouts in AutoCAD while I did my first term at Soledad State Prison...they only make you work in gardens if you're a lazy, stupid criminal!! |

Rep Power: 0 | | Diabetes and macular degeneration* run in my family. If I went to prison and had either of those my life would be hell. I think I would get by for a year or two between books and TV but eventually I'd not be able to handle it. I'd ask for a hardcover book, tie my hands behind my back, then with the open book supporting my neck, I would raise my knees to rest on the bed/cot and strangle myself.
And yes that's why many prisons do not allow hardcover books in solitary confinement.
*The symptoms of macular degeneration are first blurred vision then colorblindness(where everything looks like dim shades of grey) and eventually total blindness. | |
