Default Gun Confiscation in the US...

Quite a few people have said that gun confiscation is impossible in the US. I sentiment I disagree with, so here are some videos on gun confiscation and I'd like to hear your thoughts?

I feel the same way. I would follow orders. But I will not break any laws. Well said.
To be honest a lot of people in New Orelans choose to save their own ass over standing there ground and freedom. fuck'em if they want to bitch about it two years later.

Not in Texas,

The Katrina Bill, No firearm confiscations during emergencies.

Prevents the seizure and confiscation of legally-possessed firearms and ammunition during a state of emergency or natural disaster.
This law prevents the similar denial of an individual’s constitutional rights by state or local officials in the event of any future man made or natural disasters in Texas. A peace officer during an emergency can temporarily disarm an individual during an encounter, but must return the firearm and ammunition before ceasing to detain the person, unless there is an arrest or the firearm is evidence in a criminal investigation.

Passed on 4/12/07, Signed by Governor Perry (4/27/07), Effective immediately......

You do realize as a member of the military you swore an oath "to defend the constitution and the idea of the constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic" when you joined the military (provided you are a US soldier) and thus are required by said oath; a verbal acceptance of what is required of your service to not only not follow an unlawful order but to stop others from doing so.

Yeap! And I do so everyday. It sounds like you may have misunderstood me. And the Marine.
He stated with a clever choice of words "we follows orders. But we have the right (more like duty) not to obey unlawful orders." Disarming lawful citizens is illegal, and a denial of an individual’s constitutional rights. And that would be an order I would be justifed not following. Justifed or not id never follow a bullshit order like that. Trust me most of the military are guys just like me. The rest are robots, those are the ones you would have to worry about. And they get the shit beat outa them all the time. The rest of us got your back

And yet you seemed to miss my point, as Marine/Sailor/Soldier/Airman/Purple Midget Wrestling Champion you swear an oath to defend the constitution and the ideas there of. That means your obligations are not only to not follow the order but to obstruct the execution of the order. Now if thats what you mean by "got my back" Marines & Army Grunts think alike very scary lol

You got it Jack. Again, well said. That's one reason why I joined this gun club we call the miliary.
I'm probably the most progun fool you've ever talked to. I see it being an issue on a short list of causes I would likely give my life for if it comes to it. With this aditude I've almost been killed several times fighting for what I beleive in, and I'm starting to think I may never die. Why stop now?lol
