If you get caught (hopefully you won't) don't injure anyone, that is, if they see you. That would bring a lot more attention on you from the cops than burglary.
Of course don't walk to the house dressed up and concealed or that would attract attention. Common sense.
I think you might already know all of the above, but just offering my two cents.

something i like to do that is verry creepy. meet sombody, tell them a fake name, and dont give them any way to reach you, make freinds with them, get invited to there house. once inside the house, descreetly search it for valuebles. leave, never see that person again. if they call the cops and get it finger printed, "you were invited there" no shit yer fingerprints are there. is that horibly discusting of me?

Yeah but if they find your fingerprints in their bedroom?
And kinda a dumb idea too. If they see you opening up shit and looking around to much they are going to think that you robed there house. From there its just up to the police to get one bit of evidence and prove your alibi false.

Not saying I do this  but I think it's best to pick out two-story houses.. most people sleep upstairs leaving downstairs completely open to you. Slide through the back door, open window or what ever else.. but for me I think depending on the neighborhood, you might want to bring along a close friend to keep look out

Not only do you increase your chances of getting caught, but you also increase the punishment that you will receive should you get caught.

Looking at home invasion rather than burglary. In Florida, it jump from third degree felony to second degree felony. Max term in Florida is 5 years for third degree felony and 15 years for second degree felony.

Yeah Florida does seem harsh, but it is still better than some of the commonwealth states. Then again for burglary or home invasion I don't what state you wouldn't be looking at a felony.

back on topic. What would you think would be the best way of entry though a window that you have to break or pick a deadbolt and the knob lock?

Lock picking relies on both luck and skill and the time to gain access is unknown, whereas, it is known how long it will take to defeat the window. Although breaking the window does make a sound it is likely to go unnoticed if the neighbors are in an area away from where your working.

if youre going to break a window, i think it would be wise to know ahead of time what youre after. dont just barge and search.
