Default easy way of cracking a 40-digit combination master lock

Instead in using the old "Stethoscope" and a steady hand when all you need is a flathead screwdriver. basically all you are trying to do is to remove the plate on the back. The caseing around the master lock is a relativley thin sheet of Stainless steel. with enough force you can tear it off exposing the locking mechanism then all you do is remove the Dial Assembly and it should pop open.

A lot of locks now a days dont use the thin sheet of steel where it is detatchable now they use connective bent steel sheets with holes drilled in and everything is heavily connected so this is a no-go on most safes. Just grab the safe and run, then later crack it open with some explosives.

Interesting, I wouldn't trust it though, as said before many newer safes and locks are made with different formulas and mechanisms.

Yeah, this would basically make all decent safes pointless. I doubt it.

Bolt cutters... welding torch... far easier ways of "unlocking" things.

Stethoscope is just a waste of time this will not work on really good safes and probaly will not work at all for you. What you need is a old Rotary Dial phone. You unscrew the ear peace of the phone and put it above the dail spin. You will hear a click kind of like a door that has just locked when your on one of the numbers. Make sure you right down the two that are next to it because this isnt always right but one of those are but for the most part the number that its on when you hear that sound thats different then the others your on the right one. And after you have the numbers you go from there to find out what the combo is. Should only take acouple of tries though. The reason why a old Rotary Dial phone works and not a Stethoscope is because the phone generaly picks up sounds you wouldnt be able to hear with the naked ear unless you were in the same room with the person you were talking too unlike a stethoscope you can almost hear all the same things by just putting your ear up to the persons body. I hope that makes sence to you all.
