Rep Power: 0 | | Great new Carjacking technique! Ok now this does work so just trust me. You find the car you want to take, just make sure it is not in a heavily crowded area.
Next you place a peace of paper in the back window so they will see it when they look in their rear vision mirror (make it the same color as local parking tickets). The driver will quickly pop out of the car to grab it. Often they will leave the car running, when they do you and a mate run forward. Your mate should puss them over or something to stop them while you jump into the car and get it started and then your mate will jump in and you speed off.
surprise is the key thing here.
Strip the car and then burn it.
easy money.
Just remember I have not done this and I would not encourage people to do this either, Im telling you this to prevent it from happening to you.

You place the paper on the inside or the outside of the vehicle? |

1) It's meant to be like a parking ticket
2) If you had access to the inside of the vehicle, why wait for the owner to get on the car an then get out again if you just wanted valubles from inside (fair enough if you wanted the keys)
3) Common sense
Thanks,
-etc.

Rep Power: 0 | | Just checking because the whole idea seems to lack common sense due to the fact that the owner of the vehicle would probably shoot you or call the cops right away and report the vehicle stolen.
However good to know that somebody may attempt to do this |

Rep Power: 0 | | In NZ most people don't carry guns. And the cops are to busy arresting "terrorists" in the ordaiawra's to do much. Didn't think how it would work overseas

Rep Power: 0 | | lol interesting. I was at a party and overheard someone talking about this exact same technique. When I asked how they heard about it they told me they got an email talking about it. Apperarntly the email was warning
people when they see the "paper" in the back window not to get out of the car and keep driving so you dont get carjacked. Small world huh? Your ideas must be famous. |

Rep Power: 4 | | I don't think this would work in my area to well.
1) Area is filled with cops.
2) A lot of drug dealers with shiny guns.
3) Chances of carjacking a drug dealer here, Very high. | | | |

Rep Power: 0 | | It seems like it could work, depending on a few things.
The person will probably see it before they get in, and if they don't, they probably won't see it as they go to driver away. I never check such trivial things as my rearview mirror before driving into oncoming traffic. But really, there is the big chance that they won't see it. That's okay though, you can do a few of these and it's bound to work at some point.
The second and bigger problem has its roots in the cellular phone that everyone now has. How do you suppose you will get away from the cops that will probably be following you in just a few minutes, if that long? I know that crime has risk, but this is a very large risk--stealing a car with the owner less than three feet away!
But yeah, if you have 'not done it' (which I think is true) then go ahead and go to jail.

Rep Power: 0 | | the pigs in NZ are to busy trying to hold off people with big sticks for 3 hours than look for stolen cars. Im not sure what the cops in your country are like but here you are lucky to have them turn up 1 hour after you call them

Rep Power: 2 | | cops here in the us are more likely to bust the you calling them, for some misdemeanor. than going after the person they are called on.

Rep Power: 2 | | i have an example vid somewhere around here,
point is someone could try to mug you run off and the the cops instead of going after them they would sooner arrest you for some unpaid parking ticket.
also the first part was a typo
