Post Telephone lines, house robberies and alarms.

Rather than trying to disarm an alarm on a house how about sabotaging its ways of alert.

With the cheaper versions well not the most expensive ones will it be possible to sever the houses phone lines so the alarm cant call the police? For the screeching alarm you could drill a hole in the box that is outside and fill it with that expanding insulating foam which will numb the sound considerably. If the neighbors are extra vigilant then you can also wrap a scarf around the box just remember to take it of when you are finished.

Do you think this is a good method? Please share your opinions here and my question is in the U.K how could you find these telephone lines of a certain house? This is for people to learn only and can help you protect your house better.

I have a an alarm system in my custom built house. I pay around 65 dollars for around the clock monitering. A lot of alarm systems have alarms within, with backup battery for about 24 hours and usually disabling the ways of alert would have to be within in the house.

Some decent alarm companies will contact you by cellphone to verify if everything is fine. If they can not contact you, and check surrounding house if it a lot of other houses dont have telephone they wouldnt send a police car.

Ive had my fair share of people trying to break in to my house.

I have a restaurant with an alarm system. We had a person who aquired the blueprints to the mall and found ways to exploit it. The person dropped through roof to the fridge moved slowly so that the motion alarm was not triggered and crawling flat on the floor will not trigger motion alarms. He went and cracked our safe and took 18,000. This man decided to be an idiot and keep trying to rob other stores and police caught him redhanded. He was sent to jail for 12 years and is eligible for parole in 3 years.

Somebody tried to break into my house. They accidentally cut my cable and my telephone at 3 am. My alarm was on so I went to see if there was anything wrong. My alarm system beeped in trouble but then stopped. So i checked the phone and it wasnt working bu my alarm wasnt beeping so then I saw a distinction that someone opened our basememt window. So I panicked and ran to my cellphone to call 911. My alarm company called my cellphone because it was seein some odd activity with my alarm system and I asked them to send help. Then I called 911 and over 16 cop cars over 20 police officers came in about 2.5 minutes after the alarm company called.I dont know how the burgular disabled my alarm system. The alarm company and cable company came to fix it.

I've had a house that I rented out, where 4 people tried to do to break in, grab everything and run, they grabbed the new dlp tv, the family bought, and tried to move it into the truck. Neighbours called 911 obviously, and they were caught.

And about telephone lines, in Canada, well in a lot of neighbourhoods we have big boxes that control the telephone/cable/power physically, you can open it by cutting the lock. Houses might be labeled.
