Also, what exactally is an OVD? I have heard of them, but i only have experience faking IDs with pearl ex holos. Can you fake OVDs?

Philly. Optical Variable Device. I don't know anyone doing OVDs because A: it's newer technology B: most states that have them include a photograph of user which would make manufacturing a bitch. You can fake anything with enough time and cash.

Connecticut, Ohio, the newer passports all have OVD. They change colors as you tilt them and you can see different pictures kinda like a multispec. hxxp://www.holographyforum.org/HoloWiki/index.php/Lippmann_Security gives some good pictures of OVD on a passport.

Been screwing around with an under 21 version. Got most of the front done and color matched with the exception of those fucking waves and that goddamn boui. Going to take a couple days to try and improve my Photoshop skills to see if I can find some nice features for duping those waves and that goddamn boui. I also started on the back, however haven't gotten very far on it (as a tip your missing the Restrictions on the back part of your temp). Haven't started on the hologram yet, but I did write up a program to generate the DL info and mag stripe data. Probably going to add the 2d barcode info to it over the weekend. Was going to ask you do you know what the data on the 128 barcode is?

Cool, so your illustrating the under 21 version? What printer are you using? yeah i guess i am missing restrictions. I sent you a template for 2 holo angles... maybe you wanted to redo it. hXXp://www.highprogrammer.com/cgi-bin/uniqueid/dl_fl that works for the dl number. The 128-B (i think its 128-B) is the number the number right next to the barcode if i remember correctly, but i dont know what that number is. You going to try to find a manufacturer for the holos? |

Using the fargo c30 for right now. I will be getting another HDP soon and will probably use that since the black looks kinda washed out on the c30. I based the code I have already for my program from the highprogrammer site. Going to try that manufacturer I had before after I get some decent looking templates.

Yeah, PVC is probably the way to go even though the real isnt on PVC. Way easier than the mylar/teslin composite cards. |

yeah, have you looked at the UV? White UV dye in the right ink cart should work, or Perfs UV carts. Im sure you figured it out, the UV number is just the last number before every dash in the DL number.
Come to think of it though, not sure how you do UV on PVC. |

No I haven't looked at UV yet. I also heard the persons face is printed in UV. Unless you have a high end Zebra printer most people I know just silkscreen it on.

Socal69 was silk screening the CA holos and he even got the small "the great seal" text on the CA. When I saw his stuff I swore he was using an alps. Is FL UV finer than the "the great seal" text?

Well it is basically a black and white high contrast picture just like the license picture (but instead of blackand white blue UV and no ink). The problem with the silk screening it is that it has gradient which may be hard. |

I looked at that site more closely and it looks like a crock of shit to me. You will find a link to their partner site hxxp://www.youfinishit.com under their success stories link. If you look at pictures; it looks like the guy tried creating all 50 states, however was too fucking stupid to use a barbook. Their "exact" duplicate of holos is a generic "Secure" hologram and their OVD is some generic line pattern.

Hi guys im new to the forum but I might be able to help you out in order to make pearl-ex stick to transparency you need a regular printer personally I use Epson R800.print out the logo on the transparency sheet make sure its not inkjet cause it will dry instantly you want your image kind of wet you immediately apply the powder after printing on the image then you get a fine brush (I would reccommend the type the cops use for fingerprinting)and dust it off slightly you should have a perfect california seal or whatever seal your using after you clean it good apply clear coat of spray paint recommended grumbachers,or krylon at michaels.It is very important not to put your fingerprints on the transparency sheet because your oily fingers will get the pearl-ex to stick on the sheet and its very hard to take off.

Thanks, that is a well known method but that doesnt work for what im am tryin to do. I want to make it stick alone, without any ink with it as a step in making rainbow holos. I havent figured out a way to do that so im trying other things now for rainbow holos. | |
