yo what type of printer do use those uv inks wit i'm new here but not to novelty ids i'm printing on pvc with a eltron p310 but my holos could definatly need some work. |

What state are you trying to fake? It can be difficult to get UV image onto PVC, which is why most PVC licenses dont even have a UV image. You cant just print UV ink on a PVC card. Probably have to stencil it on or something, let it dry then clear coat it. |

You can use some inks on PVC but you have to UV cure them. Some ink also require a heat curing which usually warps the PVC due to the curing temperature being higher than the melting point for PVC.

actually just found this site...pretty cool thread...
Ive started doing id's about a year ago... i searched and searched for templates, have been scammed by online sites *400 dollars worth... but i decided to make up my own using adobe illustrator (the only one i really know how to work).. I make PA licenses.. Ive been working on a barcode for PA for a while now.. i dont have anything solid yet but havent run out of ideas.. I also have made a NJ (new) license.. its not so great..but will work out of state... Im definitley interested in trading templates.... and even more interested if i can get some advice about the barcodes...
btw i use a regular ink jet printer and some teslin paper...slap some laminate on there and a shitty hologram and were good to go...
thats another thing...i saw someone talking about PA's hologram..anyone got some ideas on how to replicate that? id love to know
and theres only a few guys i know that can give me the advice i need on here... im willing to give you my PA template in exchange for advice on barcodes or the holograms...ive found something online that will work great to pass the UV blacklight tests..im willing to share that as well..

b4life- i believe db has PA mastered, he may be willing to help you out with that. He got holos manufactured for him, but for that simple holo you can use diffraction film, but thats difficult.
As for FL, there is a site that does the DL number- at highprogrammer .com

I'm currently in the process of making that program . It won't generate a barcode for you, but it will supply the data to use in other software to make the barcode for you when it's done. Here is the one that will generate magstripe data also. If any of you guys have a FL license with Restriction A (Corrective Lenses) and a magstripe reader I would like to see your track 3 as I believe the license I have has an error on the magstripe.

Just something to add. A lot of you guys have been asking me to print up simple state ids based off your template and I've had a couple guys ask me to create full ids based off of states I've never seen in person. The answer is NO and is final. The reason I won't do this is because I can't guarantee the quality of card you will receive when compared to the real deal. Sending me a PM asking this will be ignored.
In addition, a number of people have asked me getting holos manufactured for their state. Some of the states I was asked about can be simply be done with an Alps printer and Pearlex. I also don't need holos of 30 different states. If you sent me a request about FL holos your name was noted and I MAY contact you when/if I get the holos.

I figured it would just spit out a data stream for pdf center or something similar.... I have a similar program for VA that i would be willing to trade if you'd like. And i'm desperate for holograms i have contacted a company in china but heard from people that the holgrams would be passible....anywhere but in the FL. So if you do get the holograms i would definitely be interested in buying some off of you.
Caliid. I was wondering if you were willing to trade for your FL template i don't have much money now or i'd love to buy it but i have a few high quality templates or that program for the VA 1d and 2d barcodes i was talking about.

Im not looking to buy PA holograms off you...im thinkin of doing that 1000 for 1000 deal from the same company u used..
and the barcode thing.. basically i scanned in an over 21 barcode.. decoded it using a program called clearimage activex... and then copied and pasted the info i got out of it into a program called BGwin that encodes 2d barcodes. Ive been messing with the dimensions but nothing is working. At this point i dont care what state it is..but if you can show me a way to create a 2d barcode from ANY state taht actually works, ill work somethin out...im gettin desperate! lol |

You want to create a simple 2-d barcode? Use this, it works fine. idautomation. com/java/pdf417servlet.html. Just fool around with the numbers and dimensions till its right, and make it large enough to copy paste with good resolution. |

And if anyone cares: about getting holos made, if a manufacturer is part of the International Hologram Manufacturer’s Association, they sure as hell wont make holos for anyone. Every legit company around the world is part of this (NovaVision, 3m and hundreds more) so if you find one that isnt part of this it may be possible to get holos. |

nah im able to make simple 2-d barcodes. i already have a program for that. i take the information i decoded out of a legit barcode from mass, copy and paste it into the program that i use to create simple 2-d barcodes and just edit the info i want to change (adress, birthday, name) but it still doesnt work out. Im running out of ideas on how to make this things scan |

well the only thing i can think of is that series of numbers (also holds the license #) is the first line on there and i read on here that it holds information about the barcode, how long it is and how many bits of info are in the barcode itself. Maybe me changing the info in the original barcode without changing the series of numbers in the beginning to match the new barcode is making it get screwed up. Because ive tried it, messing with the dimensions such as the error correction which i recently set at 4, module width 0.3 mm, ratio 5.5, and rows at 11. with these settings i was the closest to getting a replica of the original. so from there i filled in the persons info.. does anyone have good experience with this?
btw this is all for fun...just to see if i can do it |

Probably want the LAH F39. It cost $88 (shipping included) for 4,000 inches back in 2005.

First problem is error correction is set at level 5 and not 4. Second problem is that you will not be able to edit data of different lengths without changing the data in the beginning. A common problem when creating these is people leaving out unreadable characters. By unreadable characters I mean things like newline (ASCII value 0x0D).
