I'm getting a laminator in the mail soon, but I have one more question. When transfering the holo to the pouch, how do I feed it through the laminator? Should the pouch be on top or should the transparency sheet? thanks |

Should the pouch be on top or should the transparency sheet? thanks | duude common sense, the side of the transparency that has the perlex on it goes AGAINST the INSIDE of the pouch (rough side not shiny side) and you put it in a CARRIER. so only 3 things through the laminator - ONE side of the pouch, transparency, which goes IN the carrier. |

I'm looking for PDFCenter. I've been using a crappy bar code generator that I've had for a while and I'm just sick of dealing with the crap this thing has put me through.

Everyone is doing too much trying to get the ca image to look good on their template. if you already have a real dmv issued, it doesnt matter if its DL or Ident Card, use that for the photo. it works best and requires only minimal photoshop skills to put it in your temp. i guess for those who dont have a real one, your stuck with a lengthly method. my suggestion, get a real one and use the photo from your real one to do your novelty. its looks the most authentic. keep in mind the cam that the dmv uses is old and not super high mega pixels like the digital cams we buy. just a thought | | barcodes | |

Yes. What barcode are you referring to? 1D? 2D? magstrip? Also what state.. Please let me know, thanks. |

| Hey, im trying to make a PA ID. I got everything down perfectly but the barcode on the back. Now i never seen the back of a real PA ID so i wouldnt know which kind of barcode its supposed to have. But was thinking i could go online to a barcode generator or something and make one, and print it on the teslin, and then see if it scans.
Im not sure how i would go about doing this, if oyu could help me out that would be sweet  . |

The PA ID ?
Does it look something like this ? dmv.state.pa.us/graphics/dl_reg_updated.jpg
I have never seen the back so I can't really judge... and all states use a diff formula for their barcode... I'd have to see a real PA back in order to get the data.. sorry.

1. Ok, first things first. Open the template in Photoshop and edit the front with all your information. Follow the same format used in the template.
2. Once you do that, add the picture layer. Make sure you treat the picture and not just paste it into the picture box.
3. by "Treating" the picture I mean adjusting the HUE/SAT and Brightness/Contrast ALONG with the "LEVELS" option to help emulate the look of a "DMV STYLE" MugShot. Should look almost black and white, very de-saturated.
4. Add a Filter > Pixelate > Mosaic (6-8 pixels) to the picture
5. Add a Filter > Motion Blur (5-6) to the picture
6. Adjust as you feel fit to help get the best look.

I'm almost ashamed to be back here after the wealth of information and supplies that I received at NIDF. But I think it's been gone for a while now. Maybe someone can help me and tell me where everybody from that has gone? Or does anybody know when it's coming back? Luckily I have made good enough IDs to get through the next year, but I'd like to learn some more. |

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO GET UV CARTS MADE, SPECIFICALLY FOR AN HP PHOTOSMART P1000? perf is scamming me or his email is messed up. I ordered over two weeks ago and no emails or tracking number. I really need to find a UV ink solution. Any suggestions?

Anyone have any ideas on how to make a good NJ ? 10 mil teslin with what for the front/back? I haver a template w/ the holo's too.. Also, does "one side of the pouch" mean I need to separate the pouch to do the thermal transfer? I've been looking for pdfcenter and I find it along with a bunch of other pd417 utils. uh, one slight problem, it's on a chinese website that requires you to upload 5 c++ or java programs that you wrote. I don't really go through all the trouble to find my old java shit on my backup dvds, but if anyone else wants to go through the bs and host it on rapidshare I'm sure everyone would appreciate it.
