I've realized that the main detection of fake id's is through Holograms and UV.

Can anyone go in depth about Pearl-Ex and holograms.
I understand PhotoEz but doesn't Pearl-Ex just make a shiny gold image?
Not really a hologram right?

Inkjet PVC cards come from China.
Don't bother looking for them.
They are impossible to find.
I can't even find the 30 mil inkjet pvc other then on Ebay.

BTW you don't laminate the inkjet pvc cards.
You put a clear overlay on them.
Like a clear sticker.
They are like 1 mil.

No one really answers questions on this thread.
This thread is just people asking questions no one really answers them.

I have a question and I hope someone will answer it or at least try.

I just bought some UV ink perfect for marking documents.
How should I apply it to my pvc card?

I was first thinking of putting it in my printers ink cartridge.
But I've decided against this for fear it will break my printer.
Fear that it will mix with normal ink residue and show up visible.
And that it would be a waste to waste printer ink.

So I've been thinking of either making my own custom rubber stamp.

But now I'm leaning to using PhotoEz stencil.
How would I apply this ink with the stencil???
Should I use a small paint brush/q-tip/???

So I just got photo ez, at first it seamed like it was not going to work. But on my second try I got it right. If you can get the stencil done correctly then all you have to do is use the small squeegee. mix your speedball with your pigment then aply with one firm sweep. peel back your temp then let dry. I dont know for sure that it is going to work for the uv part but i know it works good on the holo part.

about UV, you probably have some old inkjet printer or if you don't have buy some for 40 to 50$. Since if you screw up about cartridges you wont be to much on lose. Open up cartridges and wash it with alcohol from inside so you can remove all black color from cartridges. The best is to use black color cartridges, they have only one cell. Buy UV ink ampules, and put clean sponge in cartridge and soak it with UV ink from ampules you bought. You will probably need to have hardware to reset cartridge after you put ink in it.

Now this is useful if you are using teslin paper, or the try for that printer.

BTW NEVER never EVER ever use novavisioninc for holograms.
They called the cops on me they also tried to set up a sting operation telling me they were going to give me free samples.

I'm not using teslin/artysn method.

I'm using the Epson R280 Inkjet PVC Card Tray method.

just throwing this out there - the reason most questions dont get answered is simply because everyone is everyone else's competition. The only way to get the info you want is to bring something to the table that others will want. and the part that sucks is the people just starting need the info the most, and have the least to offer. so most likely, caliiid200 will not tell you shit, haha. just something i want to put out there. other than that, most of the questions you guys ask are in these 90 something pages. just search. and a piece of advice - the easiest way to solve a problem is to try everything, and spend lots of money figuring it out. think of why things happen in your head, think of scenarios in your head, think of what may or may not work, and if it works in your head, try it. spend the money. spend the time. doing what everyone else does will only get you to their level. and if your goal is not to get above that, then you will just end up with IDs that get taken away, like MOST IDs.

I don't see how I'm anyone competition I'm not selling I.D.'s nor do I ever want to sell I.D.'s.

I think everyones goal is to create the ultimate I.D.

So we should work together to achieve that goal.

Maybe I don't know much now, but who now's maybe a year from now my brother gets a job at the DMV.

I bet then you would wish you would have helped right?

My only advice is to seek out that pdf of the powerpoint made at defcon about making tx looking novs. Their is also a video hosted on defcon's site. Get this video it is of a presentation on how easy it is to replicate id tech. He even includes a video of him making the uv solution and even offers a holo company I believe. Never ever use a holo company in the US, or close.

What's the CORRECT Pearl-Ex mixture for the new CA hologram.

After averaging most of the mixtures I've read about

I'm thinking that right mixture would be

50% Interference Gold
25% Macropearl
10% Brilliant Gold
10% Sparkle Gold
5% Duo Green-Yellow

Then use Speedball Transparent Extender Base

Is this correct???

Are you guys using Speedball Transparent Base or Speedball Transparent Extender Base? I think I read that the Extender is water soluble. Aren't most of the UV pigments insoluble in water? So wouldn't most people not want the Extender Base? Where is the best place to purchase this from?
