Default Rubber Stamp

So I just bought the stamp making kit and created a rubber stamp of the Texas holo. I am mixing my Pearl-Ex/UV mixture with Speedball Transparent Base and am trying to stamp the teslin. After quite a few trials my stamp never really comes out looking good. Parts of the stamp look great, but they're is always a few blotchy looking spots. I tried to thin out the mixture as much as I can before applying it to the stamp, but I always seem to get a spot or two that just doesn't look good or has to much of the ink on it. Can anybody give me any tips when doing the rubber stamp method?

spray adhesive (gotta credit caliid2006 for this idea). I use the Blair brand spray I found at an art supply store.

First rub the pearlex over the raised parts of the stamp (it doesnt need to be caked on, just a thin layer) and make sure that it is uniform by angling it into a light source. Give a stout blow along the stamp to get rid of excess pearlex. Put the printed card down on a surface or figure out how to hold it up without getting adhesive all over your hands then give it a very short spray of adhesive about 8-10 inches away covering the whole card, if you spray too much the paper will curl. Stamp it. The paper will probably stick to the stamp so I've been running my finger along the back where there is graphic/text on the stamp just to make sure contact has been made at all points. Peel off the paper from the stamp and it'll look fan-fucking-tastic, like it's come out of an alps printer. Just make sure you don't have too much pearlex on the stamp.

where did you get your stamp making kit? and how did you exactly make the texas holo?

I told you, just buy thin magnetic tape and then laminate it. You can search for thin magnetic tape using a search engine LIKE GOOGLE.

Magstripes are laminated magnetic tape, they are nothing special.

Oh man.
Get over the fucking txp lol.

This thread is kinda over rated.

Most of the people on here have never made an I.D.
Most of the people on here will never make an I.D.

I'm done with trying to make an I.D.
I never have.
I never will.

And you know what?
I'll be just fine without it.

Happy 4th!
So good night and good luck.

It seems like a lot of people that used to comment here have moved to n0vid.info

Just an observation.

I made the Texas holo in photoshop after finding a sample online that had the holo reflecting enough to make it out.

I had a stamp made at from an online store rubberstampchamp.com Since it is fairly innocuous by itself (Texas over and over again) I didn't think there would be trouble and there was none.

Since you are referring to my technique I guess I'll respond. So first off it's obvious you haven't tried it. Everything I make is done that way. Instead of being a condescending twit perhaps it might be more enlightened of you to realize that there are many ways to do something and just because you don't do it that way doesnt make it less valid. I for one HAVE read the whole thread plus tons more elsewhere so you can stop with the whole air of superiority thing.

Would it work to put a 2D PDF417 code from a state other than the state that the fake ID is made of? For instance, since GA's PDF417 is encrypted, could one put a PDF417 code from Florida on the GA ID (changing the address to a GA address) and have it scan OK?

One is trying to get around the GA PDF417 encryption and make a scannable ID. AFAIK the encryption scheme has not been cracked but if anyone has information to the contrary (or other suggestions for a workaround), they would be appreciated.

What temperature is used for laminating 10mil txp and magnetic stripes. I placed shiny side down on txp and put in carrier and fed through 300 degree laminator and the txp laminated just fine but the magnetic stripes peel right off

Default Epson Printers??

Hi I've been reading around these forums and getting some great ideas for how to get into this! I was wondering if anyone had any experience with using Epson Printers with the PVC card tray and what the quality of the result was? Frankly I'm not trying to go into business with this or even use it to buy alcohol, I just want to use it to get into clubs with the lower cover charge haha. Spent $40+ per month in college last year because I was under and it would be around $16 a month with this... So I'm really not worried about encoding it or anything, just has to pass an eye check.

Heres a video showing off the tray:

Default photoez help

hey, hopefully the gurus still browse around here, but in dealing with photoez for my CA holo, do you guys prefer to apply the pearlex/clear base to the teslin/artisyn, or to the adhesive side of the laminate? Pros and cons of each?
Thanks
