The blacks are crisp and the colors look right.
Any idea why this might be happening? I'm using an HP Photosmart. |

I remembered that my printer did this too when I didn't load both trays and print on the front one. |

Does anybody else have problems with colors looking washed out on artisyn? The blacks just don't look that strong. The only way I can get the blacks to look as crisp is to reprint the same thing a couple times in the same spot. It's really getting frustrating, especially since everything I read about Artisyn says it's supposed to make everything look vibrant and amazing. In reality it's just making everything look like shit: :/ |

Has it been decided the best way to fake the ny ids? Gluing the 2 pieces of teslin together and laminating only the back, with a matte spray on the front, or should one just go with the 14 ml teslin and the lamination on back.
Last thing is whats the best way to make the old NY ID? there is still at least a year of life in this one, and it seems easier to make because there is no Holo involved. Any advice here as to thickness etc etc? Thanks in advance | You probably don't want to make the old one. the issue date would have to be like what 3-4 years ago? and your allready "21" when this was issued wich would make you 24-25. But my guess is that if your using or in need of a fake id your not gonna look 24-25. Just my opinion.

Rep Power: 0 | | What is the best paint to use for the California ID hologram? I almost have this ID down, just have to perfect the hologram and it will be flawless in how it looks. Next problem to tackle will be the type of barcode it has on it, and what that barcode says. Any info on either of these problems would be appreciated. Thanks! |

Rep Power: 0 | | So everybody talks about the pearl ex method for for making the holograms. But where I get confused is the "base" that you use. I read a lot about this water based base that you mix the pigments in with, what exactly is this? is it just clear glue? or is there a specific type or brand that works best? |

Rep Power: 0 | | mkmk, thanks for that guide it was really informative. I'm pretty new to the buisness, and I'm trying to get started. I have one question, what color of UV ink do you use, and also are the finished products good enough that they would work in NY? |

I use that Laminator (AL13P) its $80 and it has worked perfectly. I bought a $30 laminator off ebay but it did not have a temperature setting like the above and it worked like crap and did not fully glue the laminate into place. The above mentioned works great with the Brainstormid laminates around 180 c, yes I know that is very hot setting but its what I found works for this laminator after many trial and errors. The laminator also has a temperature control on it so if you want to do a thermal transfer method anytime in the future. Quote:

I bought one of those off ebay, anyone that has the 2-1/8" x 3-3/8" with Rounded Corners will work good. Quote:

Do you guys know if holosupplies.com is legit I noticed they had txp and some matte signature panel pouches. If I remember right isn't that stuff hard to find? Anybody ordered from them? Is TXP still being used and there is like 1/8" and 3/4" down signature panels what are those for?
Thanks.... |

| Then how would you get it to stick to the teslin or the stamp itself. Just the powder doesn't do that much. Also when I try it with just the powder it is extremely faint and by the time I laminate it over you can't even see that it's there really. |

Rep Power: 0 | | What's the best replacement right now for the R800. Canon PIXMA Pro9000?
Or is getting a R800 used off ebay an even better idea just because we know that printer is the best.
Has anyone experimented with the R1900?

Rep Power: 0 | | not that the GA ID has ever been easy, seeing as it's pvc, check out the new ones coming out. Reminds me of cali, but it also has a 3rd ghost image of your picture, laser ethced signature, and a hologram on the back. I guess just keep making the old GA ID's until these new ones are phased in. Under 21 is now vertical like texas. http://www.dds.ga.gov/docs/forms/DDS...e%20Design.pdf
