Yeah the Harvey Norman's in Rotorua in NZ had no casing on the sample ipods you're allowed to test out; a simple concealing and then snatch and run type thing could easily have been done; this was in 2005 though when I last went so it may have changed.
Here is some of the shit I posted in the shoplifting threads on totse.
An idea that works sometimes aswell but has a tiny risk factor to it(what theft doesn't)
What you need:
A few bags with the shops logo on from a previous visit
A friend
Some Money
Your friend goes into the store while you sit near the entrance drinking/doing something so you don’t look suspicious. Your friend gets what ever he needs to and puts them in the bag from a previous visit. Then he picks the stuff you actually want and put those in another bag from a previous visit as well. Now he walks out the store with both bags, the security tell him to come back and pay for them as he drops the bag with all the good stuff near where your standing. He takes the other bag of cheap stuff and explains that he just forgot to pay and he is very sorry, while you walk away with bag he left outside.
This is for HMV's in the UK and other music shops in the world
I'm from the UK and have pulled off A LOT of lifts from there. It's disgustingly easy. And no those tags won't set off a whole store alarm, how far did you reach up your ass to pull that shit out?
Check the inside for magnetic strips aswell(they're trying to be sneaky with those fuckers now)
You can try the sensor scam which is in my thread. Works well on the dumbass teens that work in that place.
Or make this magic bag(best instructions IMO) they are best for lifting CD's:
http://rotteneggs.com/r3/show/se/210522.html
But the HMV in derby keep the game CD's behind the counter. Not sure about others, but just give it a shake to make sure there's a CD inside.
These are the fuckers to look out for with CD's
UK stores that are easy to lift from
-B&Q(via garden section outside)
-Gamestation
-Game
-Asda(It's owned by Wal*Mart....nuff said)
-Costco(An exacto/Stanley knife or a magic bag is your best friend for this place, and it's huge so there's lots of blind spots)
Clothes
Any clothing store is easy to lift from if you read my guide I posted in this forum.
Common tip
I just wear a track top(with magic bag fitted in side the inside pocket) and normal jeans or traki's with compression sports shorts on underneath.
You will always get watched more if you wear a hoodie or cap.
Shoplifting tracki's
Some magnetic strip tags are on the other side of the price-tag.
A good and stealthy way to steal small items is to make a hole to your pocket, so you can stick your hand through your pocket and pick shit without being noticed. Though this only works with small items, it’s a good trick to use sometimes.
Thief trousers are a must which I've had since I started shoplifting 3 years ago. I prefer proper stitching and hidden pockets inside the trousers, but it takes to much time and there's an easier way.
Just take some REALLY baggy traki bottoms, with two layers of material, and make a slit (6 inches) on the first layer near your waist, and wear a shirt thats slightly larger than you normally wear, so it covers the slit. It's basically a huge pocket; look at the diagram to get a better understanding
Pic:
Put what item you want into the slit and the item will slip all the way down to near your feet but will not come out (the items trapped between the two layers of your traki's)
Climacool Adidas traki's are the best type for this.
But when I'm wearing jeans I wear compression sports shorts and put the stuff in there.
Good sales if your still in school
USB sticks
DVD's
CD's
DVD Players
MP3 players
Clothes(read my other thread)>>>Depending on the brand; and see if you can set up a market stall.
As for booze, food etc. If your still in school then you can sell it to the kids at break times.
You don't do it all at one store, do it at multiple stores. Small amounts from different stores.
Money back scam
Not really a lift, but it's a scam I've done at a few petrol stations.
Observe the shift change at the station you plan to visit. Most do so at 2:00pm, before then managers are usually working. Try to make sure no managers are working so that you can pull this off with ease.
Go in and inform the cashier that you came in earlier and bought two, or three of an item and that you only received one.
Most clerks are earning shitty wages and don't care anyway, so they will give you what you were shorted usually without a 2nd thought. Even if the store has cameras, most of them wont bother to check them and if they do, it wont matter. The camera doesn't know your name or where you live and the police are not going to try to track you down over a pack of smokes or a few lottery tickets.
More common sense
Most stores have employees that are not in uniform. So if someone walks past a few times and looks over it's a "Mystery Shopper" or "Loss prevention". If the coast is clear, grab a few items to buy as to not raise suspicion.
Make your stay as short as possible. Do not keep looking at the cashier or other store personnel, as this will raise suspicion.
Even if you are on tape stealing, but don't get caught doing so before you leave, how would the camera know your name or where you live? don't return to the same store after being caught on tape, space it out over a few months.
If you are not on camera stealing and nobody saw you do it, but on the outside you were caught with an item you didn't buy, 99.5% of the time they cannot prosecute you.
Blindspots
Just thought you should know some basic blindspots are the changing rooms, photo booths, Items on display such as tents, garden sheds etc.
Basic advice for n00bs
Okay well I know there will be some n00b questions in this topic soon such as cameras how to act etc so I'm gonna post the basics here before adding my guide to clothes theft in this topic and some other shoplifting techniques I know about...without trying to repeat anything I said in the last shoplifting thread we had here.
Cameras do not know where you live, or your name.
And it's unlikely the store will get the cops involved over a few packs of gum, even IF they saw you on tape.
They never really play back the tapes unless something serious happens or there is a mass of cash gone missing out the registers or mass amounts of stock have gone missing all in one go.
Okay I'm just going to go over some basics in this thread again.
Do not have a grim face on you, it's not as if they know you're there to steal. For all they know you're there to take a look at some items of interest and maybe even make a purchase; so don't give them reason to believe otherwise.
Now loss prevention is nothing for you to worry about, they are just there to do their job. They come to you to test and see if you get nervous around them and walk off. Just continue with what you're doing and maybe even add the items you want into a shopping cart until they fuck off and leave you alone. Maybe even turn around and chat to them if they come right up to you....not as if they're your best friend, but just basic stuff.
Just do not handle and fiddle with items too much or freeze still or stand in one place with an item in your hand or while you are pocketing it. Keep moving. Also do not look at the item while you are pocketing it and maybe even draw attention away such as pretending you're on your phone calling someone or talking to someone while dropping the item slyly into your pocket while putting the phone back in/taking the phone out.
As for cameras another thing you should know is that it's possible not all of them are fake, so do not look at them ever; just notice were they are.
Maybe buy a few cheap items or groceries and then say thanks for the change and smile on your way out.
Just act normal and cool and you should be fine.
Do not walk in with a hoody and baggy trousers in the middle of summer either.
Just wear normal and casual clothing.

Switcharoo shoe scam, An article written by me
How to get new trainers for kinda free(except for when you buy duplicate fake trainers)
Written by paininvmuthafuckinass AKA slim-ov-derby
What you need
some dry mud
optional: water (depends if it’s raining on the day you go and try this)
fake trainers (recommended fake)
What you do
Right first go and buy some cheap (fake) trainers off the market.
Then go into the shop that has the real version of the trainers you have on a busy day with your fake versions on.
Make sure your laces are tight and in double knots.
Now go into the store and ask an employee if you can try on the real trainers you want.
Since they’re in double knots and it’s a busy day he won’t wait around to see you put them on (exactly how we want it).
Now simply put on the real trainers and switch them with the fake ones.
Now if your fake ones were muddy put mud on your new real ones and if it was raining put a tiny bit of water on them.
Now if you can try to clean up the fake ones with water to make them look new then do it, it’s extra sneaky but if you haven’t that much time then just casually walk out of the store with the new ones on.
Check in the sole of the shoe for electromagnetic tags (they're crafty now and have started doing this).
Some new tips in here from me:
Pretty much the same as what I explained with the shopping bag scam on my previous post in this thread:
If you've got yourself some bags from the store already, just keep these concealed until you enter the store and then put your items in the bag and leave with the items in the bags in the cart; the stores should assume that you've bought all of it because it's been bagged. Best for getting booze for a party, of course take off the magnetic strips or the tags that are on them; if they have the big black caps on them then you can leave these on because they don't set the alarms off. Just take them off with bolt cutters when you get home.
This works best on the markets.
Activated tags, REVISITED:
First you'll want to get hold of some acousto electromagnetic tags; you can either do this by using a magic bag with items who have the tags on and saving up a collection of them; or you can get them by re activating a tag that has been de activated; by using my method which I mentioned in my reality e-book:
First you'll need a core magnet, which you can get out of a computer hard drive. What you do is rub the magnet against the electro magnetic strip tag and then leave the magnet on it for a few mins (3 was enough for me) and you’ll here a small click. This means the tag has been reactivated.
Now you have a bunch of re activated tags you can put the plan into action; you put one of the tags on yourself concealed, the best place is in the battery compartment of your mobile, or taped somewhere to your body; you may want to slip these onto other people who are going to enter the store; so that the sensors are constantly going off, but don't stop do it to people leaving the store as well. If it carries on long enough they will think the sensors are playing up and will usually turn the sensors off for a while, which is your main chance to get what you need and then gtfo. Or you can pull this off with a group of friends or your gang of thieves so the tags can be more concealed and you don't have to fuck around slipping these tags onto other people.
I work for a corporation
Easy, some high up corporations put RFID tags into their IDs. If you can make a fake corporation ID or get hold of one then use it to your advantage; to make it more believable have a re activated/activated tag in you're mobile phone's battery compartment.
Plain and simple thing you should know
They only have one guy that can detain you, and once you are in the car park or past the store (varies on the store) they can not do fuck all to you; but most of the time if you've stole shitloads and are loading it up in your car they will get your number plate; so change the plates temporarily. Most stores are also not allowed to accuse you of shoplifting unless they have a very good reason to believe you've shoplifted, they will get in trouble and even a written warning if they go against this; my friend who works in Tesco knows this.
More shit to know about cameras
Added on from my last post I wanted you all to get into your heads about cameras. They will only usually check over the surveillance if they see ripped open packagings etc and will just try to nail your ass next time you come to the store, also only if they see someone acting suspicious then they'll go to check the cameras.
Most of the time though you can have someone from your gang of thieves acting suspicious and as a decoy an n00by shoplifter while you make your move.
Small expensive clothing stores like Limey's are the best to hit up though because not many cameras are there and since you're in there will assume you're pretty wealthy anyway (dress smart and in some designer clothes...maybe fake ones will do) and just snatch up a few Aquascutum ties or what ever and walk out.
I'll post the rest of my tips later.
I'll focus mainly on clothes theft again, although I've already done a guide on it I'll explain some tag detachers how they work etc.
I've got a lot of experience with shoplifting, in various different countries as well such as Venezuela, UK, US (cali) and New Zealand.
