Define pale. Do you mean the black color is coming out grey or faded? Is the green coming out too light a hue? If so, you need to adjust your colors based on that. It may not look like the right color on screen but when printed out it should. It takes a lot of trial and error. I had that problem before, and i just started picking darker greens that looked wrong on screen but when i printed them out it looked right. Maybe my printer was messed up or somethng, i dont know. Hope i helped a little

How do i make the bill hard enough to get the ink off without removing any of the paper. After removing it from the lye and placing it in the water the bill is extremely soft. I even used rubber gloves just to rub the ink off and some paper started coming off.

If your ink is old it may have started to crust over on the bottom of the cartridge. Try doing a color print test on your printer, and if it has it do a color calibration.

printed it in black and white same shit came out printer is mp240
thats what i found in the review "Canon's latest budget MFP is the Pixma MP240, an all-in-one inkjet printer, scanner and copier. It uses a tri-colour cartridge plus a cartridge of pigmented black ink for standard document printing. It lacks a dye-based black suitable for photo printing, so makes photographic black by combining cyan, magenta and yellow. We were initially concerned about the quality of the MP240's photo prints. Light colours were vivid and accurate, but grey shades and dark tones looked pale and greenish when they emerged from the printer. Dark colours became more intense when our prints dried but were still poor compared to those from printers using a dedicated photographic black."

if i bought pg512 cl513 refill kit would pg210 cl211 cartridges work with that ink

My printer mixes ink to make black too. I print mine in high quality where it is found in preferences and mine comes out perfectly fine make sure to select a glossy photo paper if you can. You will notice a big difference! I am sure a black cartridge would make the black look better but mine are way too pricey.

Take green glitter and put it in a blender or a coffee grinder until it turns into a fine green powder. Then mix it in with clear liquid varnish and it will appear to shift colors from green to black by the angle you look at it. This is helpful for 10s thru 100s (except new 10s,20s,50s). Havent tried that on new bills but is worth a try. Need gold or copper.

I already got on the administrators nerves and got an infraction, warning, and then i mouthed off to him about how i don't like austrailia. I was joking with him but i dont think he took it kindly. So before i get kicked off the website i want to say that if anyone wants to know how to do 2 methods of watermarking, email me at mikehaynes26@yahoo.com. This is not theory, it works. You can even use that 25% cotton paper you guys love so much, but using the 2 sheets of rice paper i told you about earlier on page 12 of this forum is better. By the way, murderskillz, i've had multiple people email me already. You should take a downer.

Well they are idiots. You get infractions for a reason. If you are a FBI agent an IP address can be captured very easily.
Use your heads people. You have no pictures, no proof, and you don't have my trust.

Here in the united states we have these things called Wi-fi Hotspots. They are literally everywhere and so whenever i log on into the internet, the IP address that they see belongs to Starbucks, T-mobile, Library, and the list goes on. I can even use people's unsecured networks. Sorry for saying i had respect for you. You're just stupid, and jealous cuz my money is better than yours. Pictures...??? Any idiot can take pictures of real money and say its counterfeit. You are not 2 smart dude. Someone has to tell you that. Why dont you try what i said in those past posts and see if it works. Oh, yeah... I forgot, you're afraid of success. Step your game up. Owned and Pawned in 60 seconds, just pitiful.

Go outside and play ball kid. I wasn't talking about your ip. I was talking about you getting their ip address. You don't have to tell me about unsecured networks and such. I am a IT tech. As for pwned? I don't think so. You have illegal intentions and possibly some money from that. I on the other hand have a hobby. I can see you won't last long. I don't think you will get to 20 posts, if that.

No way I go on Wikipedia too!

Seriously though take your 6 post count and shove it up your ass. There is more data sent from your computer than just your IP, like your mac address and even your username. Don't act like you know the internets because you know how to sniff open packets, you're not tough shit.

Back on topic...

I bought the White 20lb 100% Cotton paper today and I can easily tell it's fake. It is too slippery and doesn't have enough grab. I worked it through with my hands because shetlan said (post #334) that skillz said:

Noteking google my name. By the way learn how to speak English. "U". Anyways zero. did you was the 20LB? You can also do something else I do. Crinkle the paper in your hands and flatten it out on a desk corner keep doing it a bit. Then iron the bill on low. You will notice a better of a grab because the fibbers have loosened up.

I have heard of crumbling it up and flattening it on a corner of a desk, but ironing it on low is a pretty new concept to me. I have only heard it once before, and it was on this site. Do you place something over the bill like the other guy or just iron directly on the paper? By the way, zero, maybe you should consult your wikipedia or ask your IT friend, but Mac Addresses can be easily spoofed. So can your username. Hey Murder, am I lying? No i'm not.

You would want to put a piece of thick construction paper (a kin to a paper grocery bag) over the bill before ironing. Too much heat can melt the ink, resulting in a sticky mess all over your iron.

No shit, my work uses vlans that switches you based on your mac. Everyone always wonders why my youtube videos load in 2 seconds...

Also, I don't have an iron, I have a hot lamp though that I'll try it with (improvising for the win).

And I got the 24lb and it feels just about the same. I'll try washing a dozen or so sheets in downy and see how it comes out.

How much water should I use? Alls that I saw was "fill a bucket with water and a cap of downy"

That's about it. lol As for the iron me having it on low I having had a problem applying it directly to the bill. No smear or anything. But I like it a lot. I use water on the "real" bill with an iron to get it nice and flat for a good scan.

I've read this entire thread, all 13 pages of it. I just would like to clarify something on this point. I find it kind of pitiful that as an IT professional you would not know that your IP can easily be masked. E.g. Public Wifi as SupernoteKing stated. Also, MAC address is wrong for numerous reasons.

1. MAC address only survives 1 hop, so even if someone was "tracing" you as you like to put it, they'll only get the address of the last router/switch the information went through. Same reason that if you were sniffing all traffic leaving my network, you would not get my computer mac address you get my routers mac address.

2. Just because they have the MAC of anything, proves nothing. I can post my MAC address here and you will never determine anything from it. 00:1b:77:68:6b:3f There, tell me ANYTHING from that. It's because there are overlapping MAC addresses. There are MANY other people with the same MAC address.

3. I could keep going but there's no point.

I don't want to start an argument but I wanted to clear those points up.

This was a very informative thread by the way. Thanks a lot guys.

Just saying. So has anyone tested the rice paper method mentioned? I felt rice paper and it felt too rough... Does it feel different once you print on it? Or are you supposed to wash it like previous papers.

MurderSkillz, what happend here bro? I step away for a second and come back to read about ip and f···your mother and my way is better so f···your self. Hay boys this is the best site EVER and thread you will EVER find on this subject. Please remember we are all just guests and as such should be respectful of all members...........yadayadayada

Anywho how is the deoderant testing going for you boys? I have now tried a new ¨natural¨deodarant as a primer of sorts. I let the primer dry first then the armandhammer last. Try it and let me know how it works out for you. The natural deoderant has some strange name, but try any of the role on type natural deodarants. MurderSkillz is correct about the oil, working in that direction. By the way why do we not post info insted of saying we have it, such as the watermark how to? If you have it post it and have done with it, we try it and send you a card on christmas, what do you say? Take care boys

Did any of you guys happen to see dateline the other night? After watching it, it is what brought me to this thread and I've learned all kinds of new sh*t. Anyway, they were doing an undercover sting to bust a man making counterfeit bills using the bill wash method. They actually got him to show them how he did it and they said he placed the bill in a container full of de-greaser bought at an automotive store and put it in the microwave for one minute? He then used a toothbrush to finish it off. I don't know how much of this was bullshit or what because they obviously wouldn't show the full process to all of America. Just wondered if you guys have heard of that or think it might work? Bill looked pretty clean after he did it.

By the way thanks alot to shetlan & skillz you guys have alot of good info

Yes, does anybody know how to fake the watermark (or make a real one easily)?

Also, does anybody know how to put a stripe in the paper for the UV stripe? I was thinking it doesn't have to actually be UV sensitive since stores you're cleaning the $$ at usually don't use UV.

A final note, has anyone gotten in contact with a paper supplier that doesn't use starch?

Default Need some help

I tried every method here, lye took a long time to do, minimum of an hour and 20 minutes, since it has to soak for an hour. The paper method did not feel real enough I don't think.

So I watched the date1ine special with the guy who counterfeited money. It can be found on the first link of this google search
Google

I analysed the video to see what he uses. There are four bottles on the table that he uses. I have successfully 100% identified 3 of the 4.
They are as follows:

OUT! Oxy Stain & Odor Remover Spray - $9
Faultless spray starch - $4
Clean-Rite Pu4ple Power Industrial Strength Cleaner/Degreaser, 1 gal - $6

I do not know the 4th ingredient, it's a small white bottle with a blue front label an blue cap. I know that he soaks the bill in the degreaser for 10 minutes then microwaves it for 1 1/2 minutes. That is said in the video, following that he wipes the ink off gently with a toothbrush and then rises in a bowl of water and sprays it with the OUT! spray to "remove the crap."

I only have 2 questions:

First of all, what does he use the starch spray for?
Second of all, what is the blue bottle of? I'm currently searching but I have no idea what it is. I took a screenshot of one of the best angles on the bottle you can look at it here:
http://img241.imageshack.us/img241/9...eenshottfi.png

Alright guys, let's get our heads together and figure this out, if it works like that guy did it in about 20 minutes, that owns all methods thus far.

Any ideas? Shetlan you seem to have the most experience, what's your take on this? This weekend I'm going to test some theories.

The starch spray is likely used to make the bills feel crisp - that's what it's normally for.

Whatever that other substance is is likely another part of the finishing process - like the starch.

This process isn't any different from the lye process, in fact it's less efficient. You have to ask yourself, why is he using degreaser? It's because it contains lye.

The lye method doesn't take an hour, I'm not sure where you got that.
