long time reader first time poster, i have recently purchased the 24ib 25% cotton paper and i used that to make my bills and i used the deodorant and chap stick method on two different bills to see which one will work better but when i tried to pass it at da store they used one of those pens and it didnt pass so what other method is it to make the bills pass the pen test?

The top is fake. I don't use the new bills. My computer prints fine, opens in PS fine, and scans fine. Just not the brand new bills with all the weird colors like the 1 above.

Are you going to tell us what paper it is?

The top is definitely the fake, but it's a decent job. The images are too blurry, which either means that you aren't scanning them in a high enough resolution or you aren't printing them on a high enough setting.

I've been trying the chapstick, and it's effectively blocked the pen eight out of ten tests - deodorant didn't work at all.

You'll need to go through the process in more detail if you want help.

ok i finish printing the bills and let the ink dry then i apply a thin layer of blistex lip balm on the bill front and back then i let it dry and thats it and when i take it to the store it fails the pen test, and how can i print in a higher quality because i dont have that option directly on my printer?

I've been playing with using Ivory paper instead of white for older bills, I'm getting decent results but it takes alot of editting before printing to make them look real - specifically deleting ALL of the background from the original picture.

You remove the shaded parts of the bill (the background) so you don't darken the printed bill too much - as the existing Ivory is close enough to the actual color.

We went over spending the bills earlier in the thread. I told a few members of personal ideas on how to convert the bills to cash, which I'm happy to share through PM.

Drugs:
Bad idea. First off, you have one on one contact - meaning they can easily ID you as the scource of the fakes. Drug dealers also don't take kindly to being ripped off.

Ice Cream Man and Fruit Stands:
Seriously? How old are you.

Asking for Change:
Most places won't give change without a purchase these days.

Craigslist:
Again, you're dealing with one on one contact - making it easy to ID you as the printer of the fake currency.

Ya there is one particular flea market that is open during the summer. It is 1 day out of the week and when it opens It is packed! When I went I had to wait in traffic about a half an hour because it was swarming with people. I almost hit a person actually. lol. The flea market has stands and there is an inside too for electronics. The outside lot is the size of a mall parking lot. Thousands could be easily passed in 1 day and to never return until next year. I would never go to the same more than once. Because if they noticed after you left and forgot what you look like. They will notice you and call the cops. As in "That's him!"

how about this one. you walk into publix on payday and get your check cashed. have the fake 20s in your wallet. when she cashes it 9times out of 10 i always get 20s put those in your wallet and begin to walk away then turn back and ask if you could have 100s and give her the fake money.

well i got ps cs4 and i did everything that was said to do involving color management and it comes out the same on the red tinted side nd btw i using a 2001 10.

Are you buying the 20 lb paper in a store? I've looked at Office Max, Office Depot and Staples so far and all they have is either 100% cotton 24 lb or 25% cotton 20 lb. I'm sure I could buy it online, but if you've found it locally I'd like to try that first.

Yes it does. For me at least. Don't waste your ink doing tests on regular paper. Unless you are doing low quality prints like I did with alignment tests. Once I had the alignment right is when I put in the cotton paper to see how it turned out. If there were a problem fix it. do test with low quality on regular paper. When your ready do another cotton paper test until it is right.

so you're having good success with that? I thought skillz and others were using the 25% cotton, but switched to 100% because it felt more "real". I can find 25% all day and its cheaper anyway.

It's a matter of preference to me. Sometimes I can make one feel really good with 25% cotton 20 lb or sometimes a really good one with 100% 24 lb.
