Rep Power: 0 | | Dumpster Diving in the UK Okay, so myself and 3 mates have recently started dumpster diving, and have come across some surprisingly good stuff (mp3 player, boxed brand new speakers, stationery, empty cd/dvd cases) and i thought i'd make a topic about it to give anyone else here in the UK an idea of where to go, and also to report back from all our raids.
We're going on one tonight in about an hour, and will report back when i get home in a few hours. In the mean time, i'll start posting about our experiences so far, and answer any questions.
Also, say hi to one of my partners in crime, and bombshock's newest member, Fionnbharr (destruction_uk) |

Rep Power: 0 | | yes dumpster diving can be a great experience and very rewearding. i think that it was a lot more rewarding a decade ago or so, when companies made carbon copies and were to lazy to shred them or even just rip them in half. Isnt it amazing what people throw away nowadays? |

Rep Power: 0 | | We were generous and gave ******'s front door a broken fan and the tinsel from christmas etc. We're really considerate... I'm sure he really appreciated it this morning! He got Christmas early, eh? |

Rep Power: 0 | | Most of the bins that you go dumster diving in have very little if any of your house hold waste so no really smelly shit. Its more dumsters with office supplies, electrical stuff, it really depends where you go. Like the back of your local Telco will have less chance of having nasty shit than the back of a supermarket.
I usually go to my local dump, their kind enough to have all electrical stuff in a separate container (like a cargo container) so theres no getting dirty.
It really is amazing what people throw out.

Rep Power: 0 | | Okay, here's what we got tonight, quite a good haul i think:
- A pair of crutches
- An 80's kids tv show video
- An xbox controller, still sealed in the packaging
- 2 pairs of horrible womens sandals
- A few hardback novels
- 4 jigsaw puzzles (1000 pieces each)
This is the control pad i got: http://shop.game.net/ViewProduct.asp...210&mid=323414
I'm so gonna take that back for a £14.99 return!
